Sorry I haven&#039;t posted for ages but like Paul and Rich and a few others, life and health issues get in the way of hobbies and so things have to go on the back burner whilst more important priorities get addressed.<br />
<br />
Anyway, just to show I haven&#039;t given up the bug/itch just yet, I&#039;ve been raking through me Speccy software and hadn&#039;t realised just how many war sim titles I have for this little machine.<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Hehe, I don&#039;t know if you know the You Tube classic games reviewer John Gage, but let&#039;s put it this way, when he reviews then the air quickly turns blue with a few well-chosen expletives... and with this particular Amstrad CPC title, probably specially-chosen for it&#039;s sheer awfulness, we see John try to get to grips with FIAT/SEAT (they can&#039;t decide) PANDA RAID CLASSIC homebrew release...<br />

I remember a thread on Atari Age a while back where we were talking about Star Raiders. One person whose name I simply cannot remember mentioned that there was a guy from a later well known dev team who kept claiming he wrote Star Raiders. Now, the fact his name wasn&#039;t Doug, and he wasn&#039;t even alive when Star Raiders was written didn&#039;t seem to deter him making this wild claim.<br />

Think we&#039;ve all been there with piggin awkward tapes not wanting to play ball and they always seem to be the ones with most interest, ie. an old back-up of some long forgotten game/util you were working on when you were 15 etc.<br />

Seems Erik Persson&#039;s been doing some useful work with a rescue util so why not consider his little life saver before pulling out your remaining grey...<br />

I have yet to look at said prg file to see actually what it is, and I&#039;ve only just found out about this from one...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Is a game for most 8 and 16-bit micros of their era. So I posted it in the general 8-bit forum instead of Atari, even though there is an Atari 8-bit version too.<br />

The game was written by The 8-bit Guy from Youtube. Done first on a Commodore PET computer, hence the name. All versions of the game are for sale at his website. Versions available include PET, VIC-20, C64, C128, Plus/4, Apple II and Atari 8-bit. Apparently even an NES version. 16-bit versions are available too, at least Amiga as...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Decided to make the ultimate C64 software collection from my all over the place directories. Sorted the collating and stuck it on a 4TB Passport drive that is seen but not accessible but the 1541 U++. Tried exFAT and NTFS. I then decided to dig out a big flash drive and as I had a few 128GB ones I used one set it to exFAT and it as seen and could be used. Its a USB 3.0 so I thought it would be reasonably fast...WRONG...<br />
