I don't know how many of us are Xbox users but I was subscribed to GP and was in the Ultimate tier. That was until Microsoft increased the price from £14 to £23. It was reported that in Brazil the price increased 100% !!
I've been an Xbox fan since the original and owned each model since then but this is taking the mick. Plus talking about the next Xbox being a "premium,high-end product" - so in other words very expensive it seems like the Series X is my last Xbox. So I cancelled my GP when...

Well as I said in the chat yesterday my Lynx 2 is kaput. It will not power on. There is a brief flicker on the power light but other than that nothing. So looking on the net and YouTube the power circuit seems to be the main point of failure. So I have ordered a power circuit replacement kit from a company called RetroSix and am waiting on that arriving. In the meantime I have stripped down my Lynx and desoldered the parts that will be replaced and given the PCB a clean with IPA.
Hopefully...

Hi
I just picked up a GameCube off eBay using some of the money I made selling the C16 & Dragon 32 to Allen. The Cube has a battery backed up clock to keep the time/date and settings. The batteries are now over Twenty years old now and will be failing at best or at worst leaking which would destroy the PCB. The battery is soldered direct to the game controller sub assembly and in this case it wasn't loosing the settings but the clock wasn't keeping up to date. When I removed it the voltage...
Stunning work, if you fast forward the video to actual gameplay then it's just amazing considering what the other emulators looked like. It's perfect.

And now, Jag CD support, which again works perfectly.. Took 2 secs to find the real bios's but the cart games will load without it fine, not sure of the CD side but most likely yeas as well, I just like to have the real bios for max compatibility....

Hi, guys.

A few months back both my Pi unit and one belonging to a friend in Cambridge took a dive due to file system corruptions on their SD card MAME menus etc. Weird how they both seemed to be struck simultaneously despite being physically apart but there you go...ours is not to reason why.

Anyway, I got a couple of replacement memory cards and set-about restoring the menus/game ROM dirs etc etc and after about 6 months of "tossing it off" (first batch of SD cards wouldn't play ball) I...
The most advanced handheld machine in my mind, at least until the Gameboy Advance/SP Models released in 2001. Sadly hampered by a lacklustre games lineup and short battery life, but there are some gems in there ( Klax anyone? ) and now with modern rechargeable batteries able to keep on gaming now my Lynx II still gets a run out every week. I would like to get the McWill LED screen mod but it’s expensive and the Lynx SD Card remains on my want list.
Anyone...

Some of you chaps might want to have a look around here and wind back the years.

Tim put me on to this incredibly diverse and gigantic archive (I uploaded that obscure Atari brochure to the site a few weeks back), which contains so much stuff squirrelled away, it's untrue.

Anyway, part of the archive is a stash of old Windoze, console and PC / DOS software from... well, way back.

Perhaps... you find yourself longing for a simpler time in your history, when...

One thing led to another this past week, as I was working on my Bally Arcade project, and I decided to take a break play a game. I decided to play a game on my Jaguar, my favorite console which has been mostly neglected for the last couple of years, except for regular dusting and cleaning and some...
