I will be carrying out some unplanned maintenance during this time.

The forum will be placed in Maintenance Mode during this time (shouldn't take very long at all, really).

The forum is being rolled over into a server I pay for annually, so I will be updating the DNS information as well. As the DNS change propagates across the internet, the site may flux between the former hosting account and the new one, so the best course of action is to wait for propagation before leaving Maintenance...

Before I get into the details, I want to say that I am humbled and SO appreciative that everyone has continued to post and engage with each other here! My offline life is in a much different place than when I was able to be here with you, carrying on like the motley crew we are. As a result, I have not even had the free time to do more than an occasional check-in, and I regret that because you all have kept things interesting!!

THANK YOU!

Alright, on with details.

For the keen-eyed among us, you may have noticed an addition to the main menu: Chat.

Right now, it's available on a trial basis (and beta!!), so feel free to check it out, limited to registered accounts.

If I set the Permissions correctly, everyone (registered) should have the ability to hop into Chat, set their chat status, and create one channel for while they are logged into Chat. I am not using the "persistent" room feature for the beta phase.
One other feature appears to be the...

Hey everyone,

I've re-activated one of the Styles again: Corp

As you'll notice from the screenshot below, Corp is a low-bandwidth, more straightforward interface with the Club here. I do like that the panel is on the right with Corp, but the one disappointment is that the various SIGs are all the same color. I may find where I can change the colors, but the Style is definitely ready for prime time.

To select or demo the new Style, scroll to the VERY BOTTOM of any page and there...

I've added a different-colored style to the Club, for those interested. Might add a few more as we go along.
The Style Chooser is a bit obscure, however.
Scroll allllllllll the way to the bottom of any page on the Club and you should see, in the lower left:

In addition to updating the slideshow for the upcoming week, there are also some quality-of-life improvements— some of them are behind-the-scene improvements, of course, but here are some you may notice:

• I've made adjustments to the various board areas, and created a General Chat. Previously, I had a separate General Chat for both the Atari 8-bit area and the non-Atari 8-bit areas. These are now combined since... well, it's General stuff.
• New smilies have been added. While...
