I've a few projects lined up after I've completed Andy Barr's Oric Micro drive PSU update.

1: I have redesigned the original O.S. Controller card from Computer House, this was originally purchased from the proprietor John May, Shortly after buying this and being annoyed that the chip marking had been removed I decided to reverse engineer this, I design a version that used SRAM and could be switched in rather than using the 16K of DRAM sat under the O.S Rom, I approached Computer House with this modified version, and I did eventually receive some modified software to work with it, now long lost.
Paul has pointed out the original designers were Dave Tuttle and Mike Morgan, whom I believe received nothing for there work.
Anybody interested in a re design of the original
I’ve also two SRAM variants I built for a 130XE and an XEGS system, many chips missing, and designs long lost to water damage.

2: If there is interest I’ll have a go at reverse engineering my own work on these Let me know.

    3. I have two brand new XEGS motherboards purchased from BEST, I intend to build one up with a few internal upgrades included i.e. U1MB, DVI Sophia, TK II port, I’ll also redesign the CF3 drive from an XEL/XLD computer to fit this, and likely replace Pokey with a PokeyMAX for stereo (just ordered this)

So who would like to see what? And any preference as to the order

Likewise if any of you would like to help (nee take over) with updating the original software let me know.

P.S I have been gradually Dis-assembling the original program disc’s I have, I’m just not good enough to finish this off Help, hand holding (with ‘gloves’ on in current times :) ) and even a bit support would really be some help.

I'm biased towards the OS Card because I lost a proto of it so but never installed it and then lost all my gear so apart from seeing it running at Dave Tuttles place for 20mins I never got to enjoy it.

BUT any of those projects sounds great, let the voting begin :)

Oh and a massive thank you for doing whichever add on wins...Very good of you.

    Hi Paul

Thank You for your support, another question what Atari 8 Bits would you use the O.S Controller in?

My Original board I purchased Martin has, I've two other originals, one with chips all marked, and another a blank board,

However whatever win's I'll be doing first but all will get done eventually.

I was thinking of specific units for 1200XL, 800XL, 65/130XE I may do another for the XEGS

Just point out it's a waste of time if you have a U1MB; however I was playing around with one and built a Rom image using the O.S Controller, but changed the Font. Used this file to load an O.S slot on the U1MB so there is a use for it (well I think so) Please note these were two different computers

No 1200 here so it would be most likely the 65XE, but I have a 130 (needs retro brighting BADLY) also a couple of 800XL's.

No 1MB either however I do have SYScheck 2.2 which is great..My proto had the chip details scratched off as well, Dave and Mike were taking no chances :)

Not that I had the skill to make a clone, despite running a branch of Maplin I wasn't really in to electronics, ironic eh..

ALL your projects seem tasty to me, Graham and I wish you well with them and am looking forward to seeing the fruits of your labours on this forum in the future - exciting developments.
I'm trying to recall if I still have an XL with a Computer House Controller Card fitted or whether I flogged it in the end to... Brenski?! LOL. All this would have been 6 months ago plus, hence my poor memory struggling to recall... I MUST CATALOGUE what hardware I actually still have up there in the Baz Bunker.
Cheers, Graham, and more power to your elbow.

Personally I would like to see all of them, the XEGS being top of the list.

I vote for OS controller from Computer House...I may decide to put one of these, if I have master plans to go by, into a 1200XL.

Thank you for those that voted, According to the results the XEGS Build Won, so will be completed 1st.
O.S Controller card. I have already completed the schematics in KiCAD. I'll design a board for each specific Machine.
130/65XE First then the 1200XL Most likely 800XL, then XEGS
Then I'll have a go at working out what the hell I developed 30 years or so ago ..
