Tasty and tempting as are all your system offers, Al. I'll bear them in mind - they're all good value but right now I also have 2-3 systems I need to shift before really considering anything new but as you know, I'm always umming and ahhing about dipping my toes into the 7800 scene... we'll see! Cheers, mate & all the best with the sales - you deserve to get good prices as you always add extra value with your tried and tested packages.
Thanks Andy. I've been shifting stuff around the cave tonight so in no rush for any of them to go at the moment. But, I have also been spending more time with the Anbernic emulation console and boy is it fun. I'm going to convert you for sure lol.
Hey Richie Sorry mate, have decided to hold on to the Megadrive a bit longer and try to make more use of it. Had a really good couple of sessions on it the last two days so it has recieved a stay of execution for now. But if you are interested in a lovely CPC 464 and DDI-5....
Nah mate I have had my love affair with Amstrad’s for now. I just use my CTM644 monitor for my Oric these days. I’ll see if I can find a decent Megadrive on feeBay instead.
Some crackers on the MD, ok most stuff was on both Snes and MD but the exclusives on either system are pretty good. Comix Zone is ace, Alien Soldier is great, both Vectorman games are super fun, Gunstar Heroes is just first class. A mention also to Sparkster and Contra, both are NOT the same as the snes versions, and play great.. I just wish it had a different sound chip So good luck with the Megradrive Ritchie, very nice system... PS, IF you can get a cheap 32X add on, then maybe give it a think. Sadly not a load of games but Star Wars arcade, Virtua Racing and a few others are very nice. As I only emulate the MD, I have no idea if the Evercade would support the 32X add-on. PS the retrurn..Erm, forget the 32X, stupid money wanted for it, and sadly unlike the Snes SFX chips, no alternative (that I could find)
32X Star Wars is excellent. Well worth playing even under emulation. My fave Megadrive games are Sensi, Super Off Road, Dragons Fury and Crue Ball. Good luck with the hunt Richie.
I found pinball games a bit hmmm on the old machines, even tho Pinball Fantasies was excellent on the Miggy.
I still play the hell out of it, Paul, and I have a real pinball Amiga Action to follow... soon! (yep, I know... you know my soons )
I knew the name and had played it before, so had a wee shot on it, yeah nice, actual decent physics and a giant EQ at the top of the screen Yup, I know your 'soons', they are about the same as my 'i'll send it in the morn'..
Never liked pinball games until I found Dragons Fury and now it's a firm favourite, just nice to chill out with now and again.
Quick update to this - now reduced the CPC 464 and DDi5 to £150. I bought a scart adaptor for it so supplying that instead of the monitor, which means I can courier it free of charge to anyone on here who is interested. An absolute Amstrad beaut there, Al. There's loads of VALUE there and I am sure some Amstrad addict will bite yer hands off as you list plenty in terms of extras and enhancements bundled with this very worthy machine. I am sorry to say that all my finances are committed the next few months to recovering from a festive credit overspend else I would be quite interested, mate, as your micro is obviously worth more than your excellent selling price. So, on this occasion I am out but I wish you well with the sale and someone is gonna get an Amstrad CPC cracking bargain and no mistake, mate. PS. FFS - where did that Strangers win come from? Hideous to see the coin throwing incident, mate. Hope your lad Engels recovers quickly. Culprits need sending to Ull to watch the Tiggers for the rest of the season / birching - whichever is the most shameful/painful.
Cheers Andy. I've had a guy from near Edinburgh get in touch and he is a bit of an Amstrad fan so planning to meet him on Saturday about the 464. He's been after a DDi interface in particular for a while. Tell me about the spending Andy - I'm now doing my own version of Dry January. No, not banning foreplay, but banning myself from buying online.... I've avoided the football news since about 60 minutes into the game today, couldn't face it so had no idea about the coin throwing. Will need to go and take a look now.
I'm just grateful the car was cheap (compared to what I thought it would be) and without all the fancy roasts and chickens, we had a cheaper Xmas. My one big spend on myself was the Highlander Blu ray (2nd hand) that I mentioned before. Still isn't here, Whistl in all their usual lateness. Gawd, it's cold...
Hope you did well with the CPC464 price-wise, Al - you deserved every penny you were asking as it was a lovely machine set-up there which you really added value too and I hope you got some enjoyment out of - he says knowing you deffo have done, you retro gaming nut, you, and I hope the new owner gets just as much out of it too - a smart system the Amstrad CPC.
The new owner is a lovely guy and as big an Amstrad fan as I am an Atari addict He's had an eye open for the DDI-5 interface for a while so jumped on this as soon as he saw it. Going to meet up again in the next couple of week so he can buy my spare Amstrad colour monitor. Always nice to find another enthusiastic retro collector like ourselves.
Brilliant when it all works out sweet like your deal, Al, so good to hear AND... you never know, he might fancy joining us loons to boot?!
