    Hello again,
This time I am selling my BBC Model B. It's a 32KB Model B ( Issue 7 Motherboard ) it also comes fitted with the following...
ATPL Sidewise ROM/RAM board with 16KB of Sideways RAM and DFS,ADFS and other ROM's fitted.
NuLA enhanced ULA Board & EPROM ( Original ULA also included )
    RetroClinic Disk Interface ( WD1772 )
Watford Electronics 32KB Shadow RAM & EPROM ( currently disconnected )
Raspberry Pi Zero & Co-Pro adapter with Micro SD Card.

All you would need is a Gotek and get some BBC disk images and away you go...
There is one small issue I haven't been able to track down - It feels like somewhere along the boot process the computer is falling out of sync.
Sometimes on power on you will get white bands, turning the Beeb on and off will resolve this, it may take a couple of goes but it will eventually start up - it seems to be related to the NuLA and if you fit the original ULA the problem disappears.
If anyone is interested just drop me a line...

    Here, here, Richie.
I know you've put a helluva lotta lurve into that Beeb.
If I hear of anyone wanting one I'll send em your way, mate.
I look at mine sometimes and also think... do I give you anything like enough attention?
Gawd, I need to hire a Swedish retro au pair or something.

Enjoy the old C64, ignore the hate from some, its a nice machine with lots of great games and lots of awful ones, some of the worst are ports from the Atari but load up Mayhem in Monsterland and fail to be impressed, Sams journey is just epic.

And I got a present from AA this morning...

    Cheers, Paul.
Enjoy the AA gift (did I read Sophia2 somewhere?) and I will update you guys on the breadbin after I pick up a PSU and C2N tomorrow.
As you say, just like our Ataris, C64s do attract some flak but most of the hate is just sheer jealousy.
Regardless of our allegiances, other micros are just as enjoyable and have features better/worse in varying quantities but what the hell - let's celebrate the fact its another wonderful retro micro.
More to follow on this one, fellas.

Yes, a Sophia 2 totally out of the blue...

Try and avoid the SD cheap devices, they do load a lot but not all. I'm obviously going to mention the 1541 Ultimate++ but at you cash level old man its a bit of a buy as utterly brilliant as it is..

If you get serious with the C64 then its deffo worth a thought later on..

If you need images then just say the word and more images than you can shake a stick at are yours..

Many many thanks in advance, Paul.

I know you're a bit of a C64 afficionado so I know where to come for my software, buddy.

That's a great gift out the blue, the Sophia 2 and I understand it really improves (via RGB?) output to LCD screens, Paul? The main thing is it shows yet again how generous and thoughtful a lot of the retro crew guys still are.

It's that side of things that keeps this hobby of ours much more than just a kick playing the old hardware/software - it's the camaradie and shared experiences too.

    Brilliant, mate - ENJOY!

The Sophia does the lot, HDMI, RGB etc etc

I'm still sat here staring at it in a bit of shock, what with the car and this I just can't get over just wonderful people have been to us, just the kind messages blew me away but for people to give me their spare cash was just humbling and amazing. The Sophia was like the icing on the cake, I had pre ordered it but things went south so to get it as a gift is magical.

And to know it was from one guy who has been very ill this year and a certain dev just overwhelms me.

But enuff gushing, re the C64, me and Richie seem to have a great love of the old 64 so if you need any help or stuff please ask. Watch out for the rectangular ribbed C64 PSU's, they have probs. Just got hold of a tested wedge shape one that is great but the cost is not great but new special built ones are even more money, most heading in to the 30 quid mark and others up to 60.00..Its a blooming dual voltage PSU not a Lamborghini FFS.

Enjoy the games, there's a huge library and still being added to almost weekly and digital prices are fair.

    Thanks, Paul.

It's great to know that you guys are able to recommend C64 goodies to me and also to steer away from some of the rocks and PSU downfalls in terms of dodgy power bricks out there (just like the Atari ingots).

Anyhow, Shaun from down the road from me has provided me with a boxful of retro goodies this afternoon so I will show you my latest booty later...

...and check to see whether the breadbin does actually boot or will it turn out to be a lemon/faulty?

We will see, fellas - that's another added joy of collecting classic micros - you often run into classic problems!
