I might well have posted this to the old Atari Sector, fellas, so bear with me and humour me if you've already seen this incredible clip which shows, not Stan Ridgeway's epic 86 release of the same name, but Chris Sievey (AKA Frank Sidebottom) 1983 release of a little-known single which has a song on the A-side and then this incredibly BASIC but brilliant ZX81 "real time pop video" which you needed to "sync" with the start of the track... Here we go now, hang on to yer RAMpacks and sit back and enjoy those far off monochrome New Romantic days of UK pop back in the early 80s...
Fair play, Mac - the guy also doubled as this madcap creative genius: ABOVE: The one and only, late, great... Frank Sidebottom, filmed a few years later in his hometown of Timperley near Manchester. (I think it was the ZX81 programming which finally led to him acquiring a papier mache head...)
Aye, plenty of stuff's been released in recent times, buddy, incl a film based "loosely" on his life and times: Being Frank - https://vimeo.com/ondemand/beingfrank and Frank: https://www.theguardian.com/film/video/2014/mar/06/frank-trailer-michael-fassbender-video Genius or pure madman - you decide.
That's it... As for genius or madman, I say both, there's a tiny line between true genius and madness, idea's that are genius often seem so far fetched it could only be madness but they are in fact pure genius. The facts have always shown that the true genius's also had extremely erratic behaviour in their thinking and actions. Tesla being an extreme example..
