Evening guys, I'm just testing the interest levels here on a friend's A600 which he fancies selling. Chris is asking for £160 for his machine in nice working condition (OVNO). Naturally I'd do any of you fellas UK based free post and look to throw in a mag or two too for extra value. Any road, I promise to upload more pics but here's the base machine: ABOVE: this A600 is a tad yellow but not too bad and works as it should do. It comes with the PSU, video leads, manuals, stacks of games in a disk box (all backups, so I'm told) and even a jossie so really there's plenty of "value added". More pics to follow - do not hesitate to ask for more info and/or register your interest as I would like this 16-bit micro to go to a member / retro enthusiast on here before I try and sell it on Amibay / Ebay for Chris. Cheers, fellas, for looking.
Full Amiga 600 package looks like this, fellas: Could've sworn he passed me the manuals too... I'll re-check on that. Must be approx 60-80 disks in there. Anyhow, let me know if there is any interest in this and as I say, Chris will accept very nearest offers. Cheers, guys.
I'm happy with my A500 MINI here, but good to see a quality joystick in the Zip Stick. Still my favourite after all these years And I wonder what goodies are in that box of discs!
Here we go, Al. Here's a little dekko at the disks - any bring back some extra special memories for anyone or maybe I'll boot some on request? Darn, sorry, Al - I couldn't turn the Tartan Army's fortunes around tonight... Yep, the Zip Stick is a definite weapon of choice for many retro gamers and this one is absolutely as new - barely a mark on it - it's immaculate: PS. Chris is fetching a manual or two at the weekend after I get back from Steve's Scarboro Stag Shenanigans on Sat'day - yep, expect ol Baz to be liquidated before tea time (action starts at 3pm, Al) and here's the itinerary if you care to join the mob of us ganning: - check in at 3 and meet in Lord Nelson, 3.45, to set the scene. Gradually work our way up to Craft Bar via Leeds Arms, Merchant Irish, Turks head. 8pm Indian at Tikka Tikka which i need to book (for 10 of us). Then maybe Sanctuary bar, Angel. Scarborough is Arms maybe a bit far. Finish somewhere we can maybe find a live band. Chaplins bar maybe.
Ah Tikka Tikka, really like it there. Not been in a while but they do a lovely Ruby Murray indeed And the old Scarborough Arms is a nice place, the Sunday Roast is a fine way to spend a weekend afternoon/ I could recommend McGinty's Irish Pub on St Thomas Street. It's right opposite the YMCA so forms a triangle with Tiikka and the Scarboro' Arms
That could almost be my Amiga collection with all those football games. What a nice bundle that will make for its new owner.
Cheers, Al - for the Scarboro Stag party recommendations and the footy/sporty feedback too. As you say, loads n loads to entertain the new buyer, eg.
Al asked about the other disks... so here are some more - they all seem to be in batches of themes, eg sports, shoot em ups, car racers etc... Most of these are fighting / martial arts games Whereas most of these are driving / racing games. If you wanna request I play any - or you've got some groovy game recollections - don't be shy. Other than supplying the Knitter Natterers (stitch n bitch) gals with tea n cake toneet, I'm free (as Mr Humphreys used to say).
