Anyone who has an Oric-1 or Atmos aside from having impeccable taste should know that use can replace the ROM with an EPROM if you want a V1.1 ROM in an Oric-1 or V1.22 in either models or even the new dFlat programming language. The downside is that if you have a disk interface it stops working due to the way the Drive ROM is overlaid on the BASIC ROM using the MAP signal which isn't present on an EPROM. Some things like LOCI and EREBUS don't have this problem as they overlay the complete ROM. So if you have a Microdisk or Cumana disk drive or a clone thereof you are stuck with the original ROM ( There are a couple of EPROM's that can work but they are very specific and not all programmers support them ) So I was recommended this PCB to overcome this problem by a friend over on Defence Force and I can confirm it works like a dream. So it basically sits in the ROM socket and the EPROM fits into it. Quite easy to make only needs a couple of SMD components. I can say that it does what it says on the tin and enabled my Oric-1 to run my Cumana Reborn with a V1.22 EPROM and works perfectly.

Deffo interested, mate and the poorly Oric-1 and the x3 ZX81 composite upgrade donors will be piling your way this week as they are on the launchpad ready to go, bud.
