Just a heads up of what I'll almost certainly be selling...The coming soon relies on me getting rid of covid, hence no time set..

A500 Mini, just awaiting a beige C Charger lead, lent the Mini one to Serena and it's vanished

American Super Nintendo, NO PSU (I made one but it's a bit bodgy (and bloody heavy) Snes works fine and will throw in Star Fox and Pilot Wings

UK Dreamcast, works perfectly and the nice bit is that it's got an SD2ISO card in, but I also have the GD-Rom unit so it can still be changed back to the GD rom..The change takes more time to undo the screws than the swap over. No soldering, just plugs in. Comes with 3 or 4 original games

The big one, but wavering on this, The Atari 1200XL, it's fully PAL modded and I still have the old chips and crystal if you want to reverse that. The machine also has a U1MB board fitted and had numerous tweaks for PBI etc.

An Amiga A500, comes with a 2nd drive and a good old Action Replay MkIII and 2 power supplies. I have the original mouse but have lost the little cover that keeps the ball in. I will give that and a 3rd party Mouse.

Making my mind up on the Crystal Xbox (soft modded with HD), that may stay as Xbox emulation is only so so at the moment and needs a beefier machine than mine. Will also onclude the Kinnect.

Also making my mind up on the Xbox360 with X-key and HD,

Oh, another deffo go-er is my recently acquired Expert cart for the C64, boxed with manual and some nice POS.

Mind being made up on Gamecube and PS2 (fat version, softmodded with HD card and HD itself).

If the Xbox360 and Gamecube do go they will come with around 20 real games each. Good titles, no real duff but cheap stuff. Gamecube will also haction an Action replay which also loads non region titles.

My Wii may go at a future date but need to get a replacement IR bar and check out the RGB connector as it can show wrong colours unless you wiggle it around.

No plans for my XL or C64 to go, I also have a working 130XE, but the retro brighting attempt left it blotchy so not really a seller.

PS4 staying as it's really Serena's and I have a shed load of real games that I have not played on it, hoping for my neck to maybe get fixed..

This is a WIP list but only the making my mind up items may change, I think my time on these items has finally come. I will only put them on Ebay after you guys have first dibbs. As for prices, I'm not looking to get super rich but if the 1200XL goes it will be the one item that I will look for a good price on. It's a rare PAL beast in the wild and nicely upgraded.

Good luck with your sales Paul. If I had the cash to spare I'd be tempted by your 1200XL for sure.
I think it will go go for a pretty penny.

If it was me I'd be tempted to keep the modded PS2, such a nice console.

Thanks Al, at this exact second I'm sat here feeling like death warmed up. I may well end up with the PS2 but until this damn illness either goes or does me in I have no honest idea what to do. Until this goes I have no choice but to leave the sale idea as a thing that will happen when I'm better.

Never felt so sick. I can only hope that people who have whatever this thing is or any variants get better soon. I've gone from feeling a little better to being physically sick, blown blood vessels in the eye, and just about everything else.

    Get better Andy...

Many thanks, Paul, for thinking of me when you feel like death warmed-up - so sorry, mate.
Now the pain in me guts has passed and the vomiting, I can cope with shiskababs for a wee while.
Mate, all the consoles are fab but are not for me.

I have a 1200XL but have already sold it and this year I hope to get it to the lucky (smashing bloke) fella frenchman when me and Bev head off for a little break near Paris in September so unless i have an addiction for these things, I reckon I'd best leave that well alone too BUT it sounds really really nice with the U1MB etc and as Al's saying, it must go for £500+.

The Amiga 500 also makes me interested BUT... again, I have one and I still intend to give it more of an outing when I've shrugged my stomach condition off and if I got more... hardware, software and peripherals, I would be sunk as I'm meant to be reducing stock levels too.

Tell you what though, Paul, all yer lovely gear is bound to raise you a pretty penny and we would all be cheered to hear that you had done well from these sales as we know how much it all means to you - a lifetime's love of the games and the hardware - so you deserve to benefit from all you have put in/spent in the past.

Good luck, buddy and we all wish for you to have some better news as regards your health just as soon as poss, mate.

Thanks, Andy, feeling a little better, coughing stopped, nose not running so much and less pained. Mind you, I felt like that last night and woke up totally stuffed. Here's hoping..

No probs re the gear, just putting it out there for the lads, but until I feel 100% it's just a plan. Everything has been put on hold because of health probs. We were supposed to be getting pics done for Cindy's Licence, so she can open a bank account and get her private pension. We could do with that cash but at least it's being back dated, so we will get at least 3 months worth in one hit, maybe 4 if the licence takes a while.

The consoles will be a stock pile towards the car as it needs new tyre's, but at least that is at the end of the year for the MOT. Once / if all the gear goes it won't be coming back. I did think about an Amiga 1200, but it was a fleeting thought, as I pretty much instantly thought of why I sold one in the first place.

I'll still be emulation interested, just not playing so much..

Keep getting better, bit by bit, Paul by keeping those happier times and positive thoughts leading you back to recovery, mate, as you think about the funds raised with a sale or five and what it will mean in terms of better times for you & the family and Cindy's pension boost will also arrive like, the 7th Cavalry soon, to give you a spring in your steps heading into warmer, brighter and better days, buddy.

Like you say, so much of this joy you can still access through consolation and I know you - you might be waving bye to these old faithful fab friends, but you will get a buzz seeing em going to pastures new and hopefully getting great feedback from the new owners as they thank you for an opportunity to at last play... such and such on so-and-so system.

    All good stuff, Paul.

Take care, mate and let's a have a vid link-up chinwag over Easter, fellas - it's high time we showed our pale faces and had a little natter if we're all heading in the reet direction, health-wise.

I've upgraded to just feeling grotty, which actually is an improvement, and it's made me more keen for the possible video meetup. Let's hope we can get that sorted for Easter, as per Andy's hopes. If I'm a dribbling mess, then you all get some free entertainment :)

LOL! Drools and dribbles qualifies as top class entertainment in many parts of Ull, Paul ;-)

C;mon then, let's have some of us expressing some interest if you don't mind.

I cannae do the Friday/Sat'day 7th-8th April as we're up in Sunderland watching the Lads take on local sweatnecks Hull City and then visiting Bev's family for meals etc (if me guts allow). The Sunday I'm dashing back to see my family and friends so Monday 10th is my best available day but if we get the majority of guys only able to make say the Fri-Sat, I could take an iPad or me newer laptop with me - yes, I've shuffled my way technologically into the 21st century now... but only just... ;-)

    Any more, for any more?

Monday should work for me, I'm sure I've made no promises for anything considering the COVID. As for footy, how can you afford to go and see a match mate. Ticket prices for anything are OOTW. Serena was in Central London and saw an Indie software show, being a gamer she went to so see, but they wanted 30.00 just to get in.....Crazy..She didn't attend..

Already paid our season tickets back last August - Bev "treated" me to mine as I'm a Man U fan (don't tell anyone) and it's a way of ensuring she gets to see her folks at least once a fortnight after the lockdowns stopped us seeing em for the best part of 2 years. So, if we don't go, not only do we lose on a match we've already paid for but Bev feels bad about not seeing her folks,
We've gotta go, mate - else it's lose, lose!
Yep, know what you mean about the price of one off events like the one Serena was attracted to - £30 a chuck aint cheap.

No one in Sunderland watches football, they are too busy going to Amsterdam and getting pished up and assaulting the prossies in the red light area.

Hence 18 - 35yr old Brits are unwanted by Amsterdam now..

Despite hoping the covid was going, it's not..Nothing really awful, just very flu like, miles better than before but means any sales are on hold until I can shake this 100%. It's just rolling around between us all with the only good news is that Serena is now covid negative..But that could change considering..

Just sitting here laughing at the upstairs neighbours. The kids was doing his mega whinge thing where he just keeps saying stuff about him being bad, after an hour of it you just wish you could strangle him. But their fix was to throw 2 kids out with the old man who came back mins later with both kids up to their eye's in sweet and sweet drinks.

Cue 10 mins later and the kid has gone back to mega whinging because he wants more sweets...LOL. You can't fix a problem child by creating a new problem just for 10 mins peace. Child care rule 101 but much more a problem with a special needs child.

Jesus, they are just so backward as parents.. I count myself as a good dad, but 99% of it is just common sense..

And now he didn't get more sweets he's attacking the floor, which isn't a laugh..

I wish I could help out Paul, but indeed I have been thinking of selling off a large swath of my own collection soon, I'm still pondering it all though. The reason being, the way the U.S. economy is heading, and looming food shortages due to dozens and dozens of food processing plants burning down across the U.S. and the same with chicken and egg farms (this is NO coincidence). California floods have ruined all the crops and produce in that state, which is fully half the supply for the U.S., so major food shortages on the horizon. I hear this is predicted to go world wide too.

Banking collapses coming left and right looks to a seriously potential crash of the U.S. economy too, not just recession, but a real economic collapse. We may be paying $100-1000 dollars for a loaf of bread this time next year! And I exaggerate not.

We are literally already paying 3 times as much for food and house hold staples as we were just a couple of years ago. Our monthly food and essentials budget has increased from $350 per month about a year or two ago to over $900 per month this year so far. The only reason my household is still afloat at all now is that our property, home and vehicles are all payed for.

If all this occurs, my business will go under as it's luxury services, and if I don't sell it all off soon, the market for these superfluous electronic items will crash as well since everyone's money will be going to survive. So it may be sell soon or never and lose badly needed monies.

It ain't looking good for the U.S. lads, Biden has driven us over a cliff, giving up even our energy independence and ruining the booming economy we had just 3 short years ago. Of course Covid played a huge part in all of that too. Then there are the threats of China and Russia at are doorstep...it could be war, we've never been closer to it with Russia or China since the Bay of Pigs incident in Cuba in the 60's.

I hear things are getting pretty bad in the U.K. as well fellows, what say you?

The writing is on the wall for those of us not too blind and brain washed by the media lies to see it. (speaking of the U.S. citizens, I can't speak for you lot)

Nice WIP list, Paul. I'm not an arcade/console man, I'd rather get/save 8/16-bit home computers. So I would be interested in the Amiga 500 with the second drive (is it expanded to 1MB already?) and the mysterious (for me) Expert cart... What is it exactly and how does it differ from Ultimate II Plus or EasyFlash just to name a few?
That is viable, obviously, if your sale can involve me and if the UK/EU customs don't get in the way with too expensive taxes. :)

Eeh, the world's going to hell in a handcart by the looks of it, lads.

I totally agree, Matt - the West is sliding every day ever closer to conflict with... Russia and China.

As we already know, there is a proxy war underway now with Russia as Ukraine uses our military equipment to stem the flow of their superiority in numbers. Meanwhile, Putin and his cronies keep mentioning the redeployment/use of battlefield nukes to new areas close to the conflict...how soon before an incident either unintentional or intentional sparks a wider involvement? Just look at the old NATO countries' borders in Europe in the 90s and now... our blue nations now push hard against the red of Russia whereas before there was always a "buffer" inbetween so no wonder the Reds are nervous.

China meanwhile regards Taiwan as an inevitable battleground to be fought over with the West and ever expands its influence and island bases in the South China Sea.

Like you say, our economies are now shaky and uncertain and inflation is going through the roof and getting close to record levels as food and cost of living prices rocket. We are all feeling ever more in the grip of a global economical and military crisis, so like you say, how long before food and drink supplies begin to be in short supply and then things like food riots become a reality?

Our health these days seems to be ever problematic - colds, coughs and viruses that seem more difficult to shake off since the advent of Covid. Can any of us see a doctor? No chance.

We look around at our once proud cities, tidy towns and caring communities and see instead huge cutbacks, savage cuts to services, deterioration in our daily quality of lives, closure of so many stores and high street shops, and the state of repairs to roads, infrastructure, transport and folks now living in fear of... rising crime, rising prices the increasing risk of both conventional and nuclear global war.

God, it doesn't look particularly great right now, folks and like Matt says, you can't trust the news - it really is a lot of bullshit carefully pre-prepared as propaganda. So much hate out there, it's frightening and designed to scare.

No wonder Matt's thinking of selling his gear/business assets now too - I just hope & pray for sure, that things will eventually get better as what the world needs most is peace, calm, security and stability - not sabre-rattling lunatics sleep walking, dragging us all in that handcart, towards WWW III.

Take lots of care, guys and I trust we can keep one another's morale up through these testing times.

The world is going to hell and if I was a little less logical I'd say there's a plan to it. So many items surely can't be coincidental?

As for food here Matt, same as your issues, hellishly hiked up prices and lack of stock, yet you can go to a supermarket in Ukraine and get a full stock of vegetables etc and at normal prices. For us, the pandemic was a key item, as was the great lie called Brexit. The freak weather conditions obviously don't help, and we are set to see these things as a norm. It's hell out there for small to medium businesses, the economy just can't sustain them. Just this morning, I saw that Richard Branson's Rocket plant is laying off 85% of its employee's, many high profile high street shops are also having to rethink staff or even staying open.

The horrendous tornado damage to Mississippi was just beyond unnatural, not just damage but whole high streets totally flattened. These places will almost certainly never reopen, and the peoples lives have a harrowing future, and the future could be more of the same.

I fear for my daughter, I'm 60+, I've had a fairly long life that I'd like a lot more of, but she's at the beginning of her life and with her medical problems etc she needs support, sadly the NHS seems to be falling apart. So unless you can go private, it looks like we are all sh*t out of luck.

My sale was never based on Matt's notions, but he has very good reasons for what he may do. Can't say I blame you for giving it thought.

Hi Alex, yes the Amiga has a 1MB expansion, one thing that may put you off apart from the cost of sending and taxes is that it's very yellow, it's a prime contended for retrobrighting via whichever format you could use. The expert cart was one of the first dumper carts out, you could get a single load tape game, load it and dump it. You don't then need the cart to play that dump (unless there's internal software checks for a cart). I used it all the time and I can't remember a game that defeated it, but I moved on to an action replay by then. The expert also allows tools to be loaded in to it, machine code monitor, graphics dumping. Just think of it as an early action replay. Usage is simple, attach cart, set top switch to PRG, load up the module type you want to use, when loaded set the switch to on and hit restore to reset and enter the cart.

That is the one difference between it and an AR, you need to set it up..

I'll keep you informed re what is happening via this thread, I'm keeping away from people as much as I can as I retested as COVID positive last night, so things like post offices are too busy for me. If I can find a review on the Expert I'll post a link. It's a real nice niche cart, they go for good money but I got mine as a buy now at a good price (33.00 inc postage)

As you say Andy, the whole Russia, China and others mix does have real problems that the average person will give no thought to. Maybe ignorance is bliss, but there's certainly war like under currents that seem to be leading to a dark path. Just look at Russia, initially damning Nato countries and saying that nuclear weapons should only be stationed on your own country's land, and yet the next sec Putin is saying they are stationing nukes in Belarus in the future. Verbal swash buckling or a real step up in nuclear usage, you guess.

Russia has sought alliances with every ghoul nation on the planet, and in many cases got them

Aye, the floods in California, the largest, most destructive tornado to ever hit the U.S., The tragic Earth quakes in Turkey/Syria and other places around the world, the most devastating mudslide in the known history of the world burying a City in South America, volcanos everywhere as well. Even the U.S. is under imminent threat of the super volcano of Yellowstone being past due to explode apparently.

This all has to do with both the Sun and the Earth in states of flux right now that is a natural cycle they go through every so many thousands or tens of thousands of years are what's causing the natural disasters; the Earths magnetic poles are in actual flux right now, and when they actually flip, which is what is coming, these disasters may climax. Don't you believe for one second that all of this is man made due to pollution like the lying media and leaders state, so they can continue their green agenda for money and power over the people.

The fact is (that the elite and media keep hidden from the masses with their lies-but the truth is out there for those who search for themselves) that ONE SINGLE volcano spews out more pollution into our atmosphere than all the pollution man has created himself from the industrial revolution until today...just ONE. And how many volcano's have we ourselves been alive to see in our time already? No, the earth is more resilient to said pollution, that's all an agenda and lie for money and power and control over the masses. This is all NATURAL cycles of the Sun and Earth.

The only man-made pollution crisis that is real and contributing to the devastation of the earth right now is our plastic pollution. That is the only change man can make right now to help the for the better is our manufacturing of all these totally unneeded plastics, like what everything we purchase is enclosed in today. Wax paper, aluminum and cardboard did every bit as well in packaging of consumer goods as plastic does today, and they are far less toxic, if toxic at all. We've become addicted to plastics and manufacturers use it because it is far cheaper than using those other products.

We have the unfortunate timing of being born into a world on the verge of huge change. It will eventually pass and all becomes stable again, but we may live through hell on earth between all these things before it all settles again. IF we don't destroy ourselves first. For us, I fear nothing will ever be the same again as has been in recent decades, one way or another, many current nations will fall and a new world order will be set, and I highly doubt it will be a better one in the long run.

Lots and lots and lots of sentiments, thoughts, beliefs and ideas here that I have a lot of time for - I would fear for my kids' futures too, Paul, and Matt's spot on with the crap we're fed with all the green higher tax politics designed to shit us witless with worry whilst at the same time extracting the max from our pockets.

I've never known anything like it and I'm sure I'm not alone in feeling as if we're stealing ourselves for worse, much worse, to come, so no wonder we're expecting the worst.

The Old World Order is changing... empires will fall and a New Order will rise. As Matt says, god knows what it will all look like in another...50, 100, 200 years? I doubt we'd recognise the ol place...

Armageddon Days are here again (almost)

They're 5 miles high as the crow flies
Leavin' vapor trails against a blood red sky
Movin' in from the east toward the west
With balaclava helmets over their heads, yes
But if you think that Jesus Christ is coming
Honey you've got another thing coming
If he ever finds out who's hijacked his name
He'll cut out his heart and turn in his grave
Islam is rising, the Christians mobilizing
The world is on its elbows and knees
It's forgotten the message and worships the creeds

It's war, she cried, it's war, she cried, this is war
Drop your possessions, all you simple folk
You will fight them on the beaches in your underclothes
You will thank the good Lord for raising the union jack
You'll watch the ships sail out of harbor
And the bodies come floating back
Watch the ships sail out of harbor
And the bodies come floating back

If the real Jesus Christ were to stand up today
He'd be gunned down cold by the C.I.A
Oh, the lights that now burn brightest behind stained glass
Will cast the darkest shadows upon the human heart
But God didn't build himself that throne
God doesn't live in Israel or Rome
God doesn't belong to the Yankee dollar
God doesn't plant the bombs for Hezbollah
God doesn't even go to church
And God won't send us down to Allah to burn
No, God will remind us what we already know
That the human race is about to reap what it's sown

    Armageddon days are here again
    Armageddon days are here again
    Armageddon days are here again
    Armageddon days are here

I am definitely interested in the Miggy, the Dreamcast and the GameCube. I have around 50 original games for the Cube but I’m using a back compatible Wii and I’d like a real Cube instead. Is it Black or Indigo?
I have a spare IR bar as I have a Wii U as well and the original Nintendo Wii composite lead if you want them. So you can sell the Wii.
    Crystal Xbox is nice too…

The cost of living is definitely getting out of control. Our grocery bill has increased by on average 15% I think.our heating and electric bills have increased by about £500 a year and we’re actually using less this and last year.
It does sometimes feel like we’re going to hell in a hand basket. Maybe it’s time for the real masters of the Earth, the pan dimensional beings disguised as mice to take over just like Douglas Adams said.

I am increasingly worried when is see President Biden, I saw the press conference after that Transgender shooter killed 3 kids and 3 staff and he was just standing there talking about Chocolate ice cream and the beautiful kids in the front row. Then saying the shooter had two AK47’s when it obviously didn’t. I don’t know the complete context but he doesn’t seem very “with it” when you see him on TV.

I'll let you know Richie re the consoles when I finally get rid of this flu / covid.

I have one of said pan dimensional beings outside my back door. My cat decided we needed a free dead mouse to help with the food costs. Cats, lovely furry soft things but with a very cruel outlook on life.

As for Biden, apart from his known issue of telling very young girls to keep their virginity (100% true and been heard on camera numerous times), I see a man barely in control. I've watched him trying to show how fit he is by making little runs, sadly it looks like he's about to fall over every time. And yes, he comes across as dementia bound at the best of times, the eye's look vacant, and he clearly struggles to keep track of what he's talking about unless he's really comfortable about it or it's the least words possible.
