    Hi Paul
Sorry to hear about your problems, just when we thought things would quiten down as well, and another lot start . Doh.
Andy gave his appologies to mention, his upto his neck in it as well.
Ended up with myself and Vulcanman - Andy nattering for about a few hours.
USB Keyboard and Mouse/ Trackball interface to POKEY, PIA & GITA to act as obviously a keyboard, but using a mouse / trackball as a joystick.
Updating an original Candle U1MB (the Xilinx FPGA. turns out to be the bigger brother of the XC9536 I've been playing with.(it's an XC95144 or XC95144XL)
The rest more general, from Euphoniums, lock down, old times etc.

Hope to see a few more sometime
    :D:D

    Yeah, apols..

I have two autistic boys next door, both loving slamming doors and the younger boy just loves to scream in a high pitched shriek, his parent, she does nothing, just ignores it and runs her house as a creche for kids so coining it in too. They are mostly quiet but when the boys have a autistic moment they feed off each other and it gets rather loud.

Serena rang me because of the Wifi being down and I tried a number of ways around it but to no joy, also she had software issues and the weekend is the only time she can get help with it because of lectures during the week. Normally its quite simple and she can fix most things but she picked up a virus that changed her search engine to a rather dodgy site, not to much of a problem as it was only the HOSTS file it had altered but it also loaded numerous keys into the registry for other nuisance value. Took a bit of time and a remote link but it was sorted and then scanned 100%.

Not like her to get a virus, I suspect she let a house mate on the laptop...

After all that my head was banging and literally the walls were as well, blooming noise just fills the flat and of course upstairs decided to take advantage and add to the noise.

I hope you and Vulcan Andy had a good old chin wag, to quote a certain Austrian, "I'll be back"

Sounds like a rough afternoon Paul :(

Alas, I didn't make it either. My walk turned into a full coastal hike and I spent most of the afternoon traversing sand dunes and tides!

Watch out for the exercise Police...

It wasn't too bad but I do have a problem with responsibility, so being the person who needed to get Serena's laptop back working it really plays on my depression, so something that isn't hard makes me sweat and I get a savage headache. If its an item for me I'm ok but when its important I struggle badly.

The joy of 14yrs untreated depression..

But I got the job done today which is the main thing..

Thankfully Nicola Sturgeon hasn't banned us from exercise just yet....

Depression is a bugger to put it mildly. I didn't get a proper diagnosis until around 4 years ago. The medication keeps me stable most of the time now thankfully. I find mindfulness techniques and even just some quietness helps a great deal. But with your neighbours you have no chance of the latter Paul. Hopefully it won't be too long until they get their marching orders.

I hope so, they don't even try and hide that its stamping for the sake of it...

1 step, stamp stamp stamp, another step and the same again.....Just epic tramps..

So sad to see 2 off the 3 kids brainwashed in to this by a woman who isn't fit to be a mother...

I'm currently prepping the bathroom and hallway for a full paint, not a huge amount of work but being up ladders isn't easy and my body will know about it later. I doubt I'll make it but if there's enough interest and a link I'll do my best..

Wifes been nagging about the bathroom and as I finally had a day with nothing to do I gave in :)

Well that's two of you busy painting or preping for same... I'll not mention it to Pam as that will be me doing some as well....
Think I'll give it a miss as no one else has chipped in, and gives me some more time to cogitate over why my code its'n working 100%

Just taking a breather as I fell off the ladder in to the bath, sore but ok....Pride more hurt than anything..When up the ladder my knee's start shaking and then give in, nothing I can do about it. Mother in law wanted me to fix a slate on the front of the house but its simply too risky to go up that high and fall.

I hate DIY, put it off every time but got trapped this time..

Yes, don't mention it to your dear wife, you will be in for it...

Hope the code comes together, happy cogitating......My the process jump out at you..

Right, tea drunk, back to hell..

    Oh Dear
Sorry to hear of your bump, however its my interupts that I'm cogitating over .. its a USB keyboard to Pokey converter similar to TK-II but USB not PS/2
working in the main but occationaly the Keyboard press that cause an interupt to be run, to check the key press get the wrong key pressed.. o.k about 99% of the time though ... Hair pulling out time..
Anyways sorting out my Atmos with a new switching regulator at the moment. That way I may have something for Baz to use after his finished his decorating.
Our Bathroom next I fear !!

Nope, we've got the entire backway outside walls / masonry paint job on the go here, guys, and if that weren't enough - the fence panels still need finishing as they've green moss on em - lovely jubbly.
Tomorrow we have the security chap returning to refit the alarm system and then just a matter of x3 new radiators, 2 small partition walls to come down on the landing, new stairs up to the loft and the whole of the staircase, landing and hall to skim plaster and paint / paper...
I'll be lucky to emerge back into the retro micro world any time soon, lads.
It's a long long job is this one but Bev assures me that once this lot is done... then that's that (for a few more years at least).

Sorry to hear that you came a cropper in the bathroom, Paul - hope you're OK and do take care on the job as it were, chaps - I forget now what the casualty figures are each year for DIY injuries at A&E (Al might know) but mark my words - they're sky high.

    :)

I'm fine, as said, my pride was more bruised than anything...I mean, falling off a 6ft ladder!..

At least I'm not one of those people going to A&E with sommit wedged up my ring..."And sir, how did you get this trowel up your back passage", "I fell on it", "nurse this is the third one today, its an epidemic".

So I'll take falling off a ladder, no rings involved...

Sounds like the old place is almost done, good to hear...

The cat will be pleased, his poor paws with all that cutting in work and mixing cement...
