What is this?

The last time I opened my 800xl, years ago, I was only concerned with the keyboard. This morning the keyboard was again the reason for opening it, but I noticed some modifications. Do you recognize these mods?

After a few minutes with my buddy google, I've come to the conclusion it's a UAV video enhancement mod. Is that the same answer you got?

 

No clue on the internals but hopefully someone else will be able to help!
