Now then, fellas. Do you remember that broken A400 I had on here a few months back? https://atari-owner.com/club/threads/atari-400-works-needs-some-tlc-now-sold.759/#post-8378 It sold eventually to a smashing bloke called Paul from Wales. Any road, he's just got back in touch to say - WHADDYA RECKON, BAZ? Well, I'll tell you now, guys, it was in a sorry ass state before cos as you know, some dopey bugger had dropped it in the post and another silly sod hadn't packed it entirely correctly only protecting the sides and upper and lower areas - not the front and back - so when it got a whack, by god it got whacked... couple of pics to remind you of its former sorry-assed state: Anyway, this is what the Welsh Wonder - SUPERYID has done with it (anyone know of him, btw, I think he's been on the Atari scene a good few years). Yep, some of you will be smiling, some of you crying and some of you screaming WHAT THE FEK!! But when you consider how battled-damaged, ravaged and holed below the waterline the poor bugger was before, it's now been given a new life (and the full 48K RAM, btw), totally revamped and looks like summat outta ROBOT WARS! All it needs is an Atari Light Gun welding to the front and this mutha will be tekkin out all other 8bit and 16bit micros - no bother! Feedback please, fellas. Told Superyid I was gonna post his work up and he said - thanks for the heads-oop, Baz, and I'll get hid then behind me sandbags ere in the Valleys!! MUTHAFECKER A400 - coming to a robot war near you SOON!
Looks great, so suits it. Amazing work by Superyid (dodgy old name, as a Spurs supporter its been heard a few times)
Normally not a fan of dramatic changes like that, but considering the state that poor 400 was in beforehand it is a definite improvement! In fact I think he should have gone a step even further and installed a proper keyboard
