I just realized today that my first ever e-mail address, that I still have and use today, I will have had for 27 years later this year, in about 6 months. Matthewbaker30@hotmail.com which I still use through Outlook. It sort of outlived Hotmail itself since it doesn't really exist any longer except for any of us old timers that still have the active address! How long have you had your e-mail addresses. My only other active one I will have had for 7 years in August. Personal, that is. I have a business e-mail that is also 7 years old this year.
I don't have my original email, that was a Freeserve email addy. After that, had a Demon addy, then a BT addy and now the longest one, a gmail address. I did use my provider's email, but it went down so often I swapped to a gmail and stayed ever since. As for how long, probably around 18 - 20years (Gmail)
Like Paul my very first email address from...98/99 was a freeserve one which then sold out to became wanadoo and then orange, IIRC, so for about 20 years I was andybarr67@freeserve.co.uk then the feckers at orange completely sold out and told me that it was the end of the line for their "free email" service and gave notice of closing down the server unless you had a phone contract with them... which I didn't. Like Paul I jumped ship and got mesen a gmail address as of about 4-5 yrs back. That's a long time with the same address, Matt - I would imagine there are a few out there that may have had a little longer but not many
What I did have was a VERY low ICQ number (if anyone on here used ICQ). Someone wanted to buy it off me but I could not remember my password and login.
I've been using Gmail now since December 2005. Before that it was whatever ISP I was with. Think my first personal address would have probably been an AOL one in the early 90's.
