Need a portable Batocera to play everywhere? Fancy a RetroBat without installation and configuration? No hassle retrieving firmware roms and game roms, ISOs, cartridge images, etc.? Wish all the retro-games ever written always available wherever you are? There you go: https://gam.onl You just need a browser and a keyboard and you're in for a quick game of your favourite coin-op / action / adventure / smash'em all / shoot'em up / sports / <you name it> title of every console, computer or arcade ever published or so. And if you are wondering, yes, your pad/gamepad/joypad/joystick connected to your PC will work flawlessy! Available online 24h a day, or at least until Sony or Nintendo decide to shut it down... ;-) Enjoy!
Very nice there, but I think you must have been on the beer as it does do PSX but not PS2 or PS3. It's a nice thing for a quick game, but, there's always a but, it's not for people who take their games seriously. With these online things, there is always a problem of added latency. It simply can't be avoided for numerous reasons. That and the non joystick will put some off. Still, it's a great thing for a 10 min bash, and the selection is great too.. Great find... Oh, and it's nice that you can jump into the Retroarch core with F1, allows a ton of adjustments (screen size, shape, filters etc etc etc
Yes, it does not conain PS2 or PS3 titles, I was misled by a YT video where the guy claiimed that this website could emulate even Ps3 titles.. And yes, with all the possible problems you might have playing on the web, I think it's still a treat - serious gamers (I know some but) to me this expression still remains a sort of oxymoron... But it's the kid inside me that says "serious" and "game" can't really be put together... My rational part knows very well that professional gamers do exist and earn hundreds of thousands of euros per year! If your PC Win/Linux or Mac is powerful enough, you can even try and reduce latency input, or enhance the music, sound effects, soundtracks, graphics and so on.
As I run loads of different emulators and real hardware, it's not really for me, but its deffo a great place where anyone can have an easy dabble with a load of systems. From that respect, it's brill and a great place to have a quick bash. As for me, I class a serious gamer as people who know the pro's and con's of emulation and just wants the best of the gameplay. As opposed to casual gamers who just want a good old blast and don't care if there are the odd glitch here and there. Both types of gamer are perfectly right, as long as it's fun, then it's fine. As for 'Pro' gamers, good luck to them, it's a short-lived thing as hand to eye coordination tend to start going mid thirties (unless it's something you do daily to keep it in check). Manual dexterity is great, but it does fade over time along with joint issues gotten from playing so much. Ironic..
