Hi all Atarians and retro 8bitters, Hope you're well and if you are able to JOIN US ONLINE then that would be marvellous, me ol muckah. I'm hoping your mate and mine, Al Nysavant, will be able to post a link below so that we see you too if you are able to make it, online for a well-overdue natter, catchup and stroll down (48K) memory lane for approx an hour Sunday neet... Cheers and thanks for stopping by, geezer.
Did you create that in AI Andy? I'll post a Google Meet link tomorrow evening just before the start time in the Chat page.
Most definitely not, Al - I can't be doing with handing creative control over to faceless digital entities I have enough on my plate "interfacing intimately" with me Oric! Nah, I just use Paint Shop Pro 5 (don;t laugh, but it's from 1998!) and it's all I've ever known as I slapped one image on top of another and then erased the edges out... Looking forward to catching up with you guys via your link tomorrow, pal. Hope to see maybe us guys, Paul, Richie and maybe 1-2 other gadgers - will send out the invites toneet... Just hope it doesn't descend into chaos like the recent Celtic AGM, Al!!
SORRY GUYS - HAVE JUST HEARD THAT PAUL'S UNWELL. MEET-UP CANCELLED AS ONLY 2 CONFIRMED (apols for short notice). WILL UPDATE WHEN WE HAVE A NEW DATE/TIME. BEST WISHES.
Aw, Graham. Gutted, mate. It would have been so good, I know, as it's been AGES! Absolutely ages and I know you've had an awful lot on your plate. Caring for nearest and dearest and keeping body and soul together doesn't leave much time for hobbies when you are travelling supporting folks and basically being the main carer in your family. I've just heard from Manu in France too, fellas, and he couldn't make it unfortunately but him and Isabelle have been a tad busy too.... building the foundations to their new home! Yes, as I say, some of us have a helluva lot on our plates but come what may, let's keep our fingers crossed for another (Sunday?) meet up online either next weekend - Sun 30th (I can make after 4pm) or anytime the afternoon/evening of Sun 7th December. How are you fixed, fellas? Please let us know and we'll go with the most popular choice - if you'd sooner meet up virtually another day/time then just say - no worries. Best wishes one and all - especially those struggling with illness, conditions and performing the caring - you guys are worth your weight in Atari 800s and literally ensure a lifeline for your loved ones - bless you, Graham and other members (I'm also thinking Al, Richie, Sonia, Paul, Cindy, Matt, Tim and others) battling away supporting and providing the essential meds, hope, love and care. Basically everyday their mantra is... WAKE UP, BE AWESOME, REPEAT... UNTIL DONE... Bless yous all.
I have consulted my Calendar (no, really I actually have a calendar that I need to frequently refer to). Next Sunday or the Sunday after would be good for me too, 7pm onwards. Graham, would be great to have you join us for a catch up!
Hi folks Everyone good for tonight, 7pm GMT? I've spoken to Andy and he'll be there (but don't let that put you off lol). I'll post the link later.
Ho ho ho!! Where did we get Al from, lads, eh?! Thinks I've fallen off the bleedin Christmas tree, this one Link away, fella!
Next Google Meetup is Sunday December 21st at 7pm GMT. Everyone is welcome to wear a Christmas jumper or party hat. Was thinking of planning a nativity play but didn't think we could manage to gather 3 wise men (or a virgin).
Cheers, Al. Should be good to meet this Sunday at Seven. Hoping we get a good turnout and even if we can't find any wisdom there will be plenty of "virgin on the ridiculous" if past meet-ups are owt to go by ! See you there, lads!
Good afternoon everyone. Here is the Google Link for 7pm GMT this evening, Sunday 21st December. Hope as many of you as possible can join us. Don't forget your Christmas Jumpers! https://meet.google.com/wwv-snkf-gyv
Hi, Al - cheers for that - I'll be there. Been busy all day chasing after Santa (who nicks Fiat hubcaps in Ull!) Nah, been visiting 2 uncles and a friend who's ill with the dreaded C. Took em a bit of Xmas cheer as you do. Right, looking forward to logging on in 80mins... Just checking to see if Graham can make it tonight... yaY! Looks like the mail round his way is erratic as ours - you know, you don't get any post for days and days and then... 15 items arrive some of em posted weeks ago - Anyhow, hoping we get a decent turn out, lads - see you soon.
Sorry I was a no show I was late getting home and I forgot about it to be honest. My memory is terrible and it's definitely becoming a problem of late. Hope you had a good time anyway and I'm sorry I missed catching up with Graham as well as the normal crazy gang.
Ah, not to worry Richie. Sounds like you had stuff on and Paul had the neighbours from hell and damnation at it again above his head so some of us have more than the average degree of crap to deal with and like you I nearly forgot as we had a lot of visits on today and it nearly slipped my mind... I make notes about notes about notes on me daily/weekly schedules and when I misplace them... I'm knackered so know exactly what you mean, mate. Yeah, we had a bit of a festive giggle and learned something about computers linked to radios and fast scan TV and genlocks and HAM radio as well as seeing Graham's amazing pile of ol IBM XTs! Sight for sore eyes... as was Al's great Pacman collection and his shelves were groaning with consoles, 8bits, figurines, collectables and mags etc - he's got one helluva collection now has Al. Reet, we'll catch up next time and we aim to have another link up meet either end of the month/beginning of next so let us know if you have any dates to suggest which are good for you, mate. ALL THE BEST and there's another parcel winging its way to you, fella!
