This came as a pleasant surprise to me, since I never expected to see anything Atari 8-bit to ever show up on Twitch.tv, but a popular streamer named Porkmarshmallow did it! The Atari segment begins at around the 04:02:00 mark, although he takes a couple moments to load things up after that while talking about his experience with the Atari. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/605672446 --Tim
I wanted to kill him after about 5mins...Blooming fidget...... Jawbreaker a "crap pac man game"...Jebus...
I'm pretty fussy about the games that pass muster for me as an 8-bit'r (he's more of the "I remember" sort than an 8bit'r), too. Pretty sure Jawbreaker didn't make my list, either. LOL A great deal of the games were jump-on-the-bandwagon fodder, and often were poor clones to the originals instead of competing clones. For example, I'll take DropZone over Defender pretty much any day of the week. Another example of what I appreciate in a game: Aliants, while pretty much a Pac-Man clone, establishes itself as a different maze runner very much worth playtime— unlike most of the Pac-Man clones out there. Pork did spend a while playing Joust in the stream, though you are spot-on about the brevity and attention span stuff. Sort of like watching a show on TV and the camera man's trying to style it by moving the darn camera constantly. Doh!! --Tim
