I totally agree, Baz: music can help you when you need it, can even enhance a moment of joy, or soundtrack a sad day. Recently I have found out about The Guest List (I know, I know, my usual knack for Manchester bands...). Just listened to a handful of their songs and they're already in my personal top 10 bands ever. No kidding.
Pretty sure you'll like them too, and that you know them already.

LURVE IT, MATE!!
Massive thumbs up to that track indeed - just the opening guitar and then the tortured soul young male vocals got my attention really quick.
Lyrics seem really applicable to the heap of shit many of us are feeling right now so this one gets my TRACK OF THE WEEK vote from Alex without a shadow of a doubt.
Many thanks for posting / recommending.
I'm now 24hrs out of a ten day stint in hospital with blocked gallstones that led to acute cholangitis - look it up, it's been horrendous - so this feels like another happier step on my road to convalescence after the earlier awful blows of losing me mam and uncle Har.
Cheers, buddy.
Hope to be back on here more as I feel better by the day and get some fluids into me and some weight back on.
At the moment, the thin bloke in this video looks like a porky version of me and if I turn sideways on, I disappear!

Hey Andy, glad to hear you like that single. I can only advise you to listen to all of those tracks published so far. They are great stuff, trust me! In this cultural desert of the 2020's TGL are a really take of fresh air. Finally music made with passion.
So sad about what happened recently in your life, last but now least the adventures in hospital. So take good care of your self, I wish you to get out soon and get some weight, perhaps with some good Italian food (I'm sure in Hull there are a couple of good original Italian restaurants! Or, even better, you and Bev board a plane and leave for some fine Italian destinations to get good dishes right from their original provenance.Andy Barr likes this. -

Many many thanks, Daz.
It's been horrendous the past few months.
One awful thing after another but then we realise that life can be exactly like this and once fate has finished dealing with me and my family, she cruelly moves on and dishes out some more crap elsewhere to some other unwitting soul.
All I can say is that I've received massive support from friends and family and this has helped me keep going big time.
I know that both my mam and my Uncle Har would not like to see any of us suffering so there's more inspiration to roll my sleeves up, get better, get some super healthy nutritious none-saturated food down me and Italian restaurants are loaded with great grub so for now it will be our local Piccolo deli then a trip to Italy maybe next year?
It's certainly a fantastic idea for my 60th!
Cheers, buddy - cheers all the lads on Atari Owner who have sent their condolences and best wishes for a full recovery.
It means so much.
Hoping you and your fabulous family are coping with all the recent heat and life's other challenges and that health isn't one of them.
Hope to chat to you soon on one of the video link ups...
AL trying to organise one for this Sunday 23rd August AM UK time but it may be too soon / too short notice for most, folks, in which case we'll aim for the following week(s).
