I was thinking after I watched the news conference that I was into social distancing before it became a thing like it is now. LOL!

And it seems groups are jumping on the bandwagon, after typing that my entry phone went, I was at the same time talking to a friend on the phone but I answered the entry phone and this guy says "we are just going around talking to people about what the world is coming to with this virus", I said that I was busy and put the phone down.

It was the born again lot using the virus as a tool.

    Madness...

As for the virus itself, natural I very much doubt especially as we found with bird flu there was at least one patent for a strain. Would we test on ourselves (we selected sets) well that's easy, yes, we know from released papers that a flu like virus was being sprayed on people as they crossed one of London's big bridges. They claimed it was to see how to combat the flu virus but as always there's probably a tiny amount of truth in it. We slo know that the military have been working on a chemical response that would target people and not animals etc and even attempts to target by race so the idea of dropping world numbers isn't as mad as people want you to think.

Just imagine a weapon that targets the indigenous only, no destruction, no rebuilding, just remove the bodies and its all yours..

Is it a reality, I don't know but its been worked on for a long time.

Sadly there's also the traditional miss info and conspiratory material that's genuine (but nuts), the conspiracy stuff that sounds nuts but is possly right and the created conspiracy stuff to push the agenda's. Smoke and mirrors.

I like you just want people given the help they need without using them for political leverage

Well as the UK and pretty much every one else starts to feel the effects of the Coronavirus in one way or another its sad how I watch society just fall apart at the most silly levels. I went shopping last night and just the most rudimentary stuff was horded out of existence, simple stuff like Pasta and rice, just desolated empty shelves where food SHOULD be and why, simple panic and uncontrolled shops. Tesco CLAIMS to be rationing certain items, sadly its utter nonsense, I was seeing people at 9:30pm buying 20 bottles of bleach, tins of beans by the 10's, basically if the shelves had food on they were classed as fair game whether needed or not.

I wasn't in WWII but I knew people that were and times were a hell of a lot tougher back then, we didn't have the supply infrastructure that we have now, no computer organised ordering and instant distribution yet people didn't do what I see now, sure there was panic buying but it was sorted out quickly and a system put in place, while now I'm just seeing people grab it because its there and if its there they must have it.

And now my mother in law is very ill, she's a type 2 diabetic and has numerous side issues and I'm finding it hard to get stuff she needs because of idiots grabbing stuff but you know what, I found what I needed in the one place I should have looked at first, the good old corner shop and you know what, they had NOT exploited the prices. its was normal cost, slightly more than a supermarket but by pence. Thank goodness for my good old Sri Lankan corner shop.

Last thing, how about a general Off Topic forum Tim :) pleasey weasy with a lemon squeazy :)

I've not seen a lot of George but I'll change that, I share his then viewpoints and actually voiced the same ideal that we wonder why extraterrestrials don't pay us a staying visit. We are such a destructive ruthless un-evolved set of creatures in reality.

The fact we would f*ck one another over for possession of some money or goods just says it in spades.

RIP George, you are better off out of this world..

Well, yesterday Trump declared a national emergency, but he appears to have the right people doing everything that can be done here in the states, and I'm not a bit worried anyway. For most it's just a long flu, only the elderly and those with low immune systems have to worry seriously. I'm out in the country though, away from the crowds and any way to contract it except for the odd trip to the store. We haven't had a real shortage of much here in Oklahoma yet as far as the stores go. I heard that bottle water and toilet paper were getting sold out, but my sister went shopping the day before yesterday and had no trouble bringing home large packs of both.

I think this virus will be history in a month or two. I'm not worried about anything like this that is less than Ebola; if we aren't all dissolving into puss-filled liquid, we'll make it through, and I'm a God believing man and I have faith that I'm not leaving this world until it's my time, and when it is, there's no one and nothing that will stop it from happening, it's my time, whether death by virus or auto crossing the road, my time is my time.

Just go steady, fellas, in fact be really careful because people are going crazy from being in lock down.

Actually I've just been talking about this with the microwave and toaster while drinking coffee and all of us agreed that things are getting bad.

I didn't mention anything to the washing machine as he puts a different spin on everything. Certainly not to the fridge as she is acting cold and distant.

In the end the iron calmed me down as she said everything will be fine no situation is too pressing...

Fortunately, life goes on here very much as normal...

    ROTFL ...Nice table...

Life does indeed go on, I got an email from the council re the fecker upstairs and they say they have spoken to her and she of course denies it all but the good part is that she told a certain set of lies that I have stone cold proof via recordings that her version isa lie. My problem is will they bother to listen to the recordings.

Edit: Now the council woman says my recording are no use because they don't prove a direction of the noise, but common sense and some science education prove she's wrong, they actually DO prove the direction emphatically.

I have now explained in an email how it proves it so lets hear what she has to say.

Oh and Baz, stop trying to get off with the tumble dryer!!

Here is a very interesting video that is pure science, no conspiracy theory, basically its saying COVID19 isn't what we are being told it is, the testing is massively flawed.

It does not go in to why this might be done or 5G except for a mention about radiation.

I thought it was bloody good and very thought provoking..

Good video @Paul "Mclaneinc" Irvine . Something fishy is definitely going on with this "pandemic" but since pretty much every nation has the problem with so many different political policies and agendas I can't see how there would be any "conspiracy" among governments. If there is something strange going on I think it's the great "Idiocracy" we seem to have plenty of these days from those in power all over the world. If it was a world-wide secret society behind it all, I'd think the virus would be more potent and a killer of a vast percentage, as COVID-19 is a real pain, but it certainly isn't going to devastate world populations or topple civilizations that they'd be wanting for a take-over.

Of course there's the political ideal for the politically corrupt: crisis=opportunity, whatever the agenda.

Just referring back to Paul's comments - absolutely atrocious that some stupid shoppers are still attempting to get away with stockpiling and hoarding certain items - why aren't these idiots being prevented more robustly - ie. with a cattle prod in the derriere and then sent to the BACK of the queue once more with a tattoo on their foreheads: I AM A GREEDY, SELFISH TWAT - PLEASE KICK ME!

As I work for the local council now, the binmen last week reported DOZENS and dozens of bins piled high with waste food inside that had never been opened but had clearly been hoarded, gone out of date/never used and then thrown in the bin. Again, these people should be NAMED and SHAMED - it's the only way to drill through to their thick skulls that this type of behaviour gets the rest of our species a filthy, selfish and shameful name. Like Paul points out - all those old folks, nurses, care professional, essential key workers etc etc who went looking for these items but couldn't find fack all cos shits like these had already hoovered the shelves of them all... then found they had bought way too much... and hey presto... dumped it all unused and WASTED...they want wasting alright.

As for your dear old pal, Bob, Paul - you;ve been filling me in on his gradual decline now for several months and I am so sorry to see your buddy slipping further and further away from clear and lucid thoughts. Some would say that maybe it's a blessing (all this covid crap keeping folks away - ie. you're not having to deal with the painful memory loss/rejection of folks whom he cannot recognise anymore), but as you point out - his total isolation from any friends and family is clearly going to have an adverse effect on his general mental wellbeing and we can only pray that Bob doesn't have to endure months and months of torment and that when the time comes, Bob leaves this world peacefully and painlessly. Amen - I hope for that naturally for us all.

Finally, as Paul and Matt are thinking, I believe there is far more to this pandemic than they are telling us. The very fact these unprecedented global (some would say draconian) measures and restrictions are in place is reason in itself to wonder why when the virus is seemingly/generally lethal to elderly males who are already in a vulnerable health condition. I am not trying to "underplay" the seriousness of the illness at all when it is also killing the young, healthy and of course female members of society but it just seems odd that everyone is being effectively quarantined when in something like 70% of all fatal cases, it is these senior citizen chaps who were already "in a bad way" which it "finishes off".
So, why are global economies being 'sacrificed' and all our lives being 'turned upside down' if, on the face of it, this thing won't give the majority of us anything worse than a bad cold? Of course, it's a worry when we haven't got any immunity to it as yet so some steps had to be taken.
I've heard all kinds of theories from "it's come from space" to "it's the Chinese answer to killing off their old folk and was made in a lab" to even this more recent link that "it's on the same wavelength as 5G radiation signals so spreads through the mobile phone network". The fact that some phone masts in the UK have been suddenly blowing up seems to have added even more spice and substance to these theories.
Some of this sounds incredible - the stuff of science fiction - but as they say, there's much truth in jest and there are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamed of in your science and philosophy.
I've no answers, fellas, and I daresay even the boffins are still looking for one but don't you get a gut feeling that there's something the matter. Here, in the UK, we still have no home testing going on; pitifully little going on in the hospitals checking their own front line staff (I heard 25% of docs and nurses are currently off sick thinking they MAY have it but there's still no way of testing this to check - if they could self-test and were found to be negative then they could return to work and make the situation far less of a strain on those who are holding the line), and still some health workers complaining that they are woefully and inadequately protected due to a lack of supplies of vital Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) gear. WTF? You begin to wonder how this can be and what is really going on "behind the scenes"?
Guys, it's all nuts to me - someone pass me my Oric...I feel a need for a 48K fix of something back in the retro world cos this world makes no sense to me at all.

Just released from hospital in Morocco after having COVID-19 and this is the first thing he does, kisses the floor where every other person has been walking.

Genuine photo.....Makes me wonder why we try and look after some people. Obviously I know he's giving praise to Allah for being alive but if the twerp keeps on kissing dirty places then he's going to be a goner and wasted critical time of Doctors and Nurses who could work on a more sensible person..

Same with the idiots over here who complain about being fined yet keep going out with no excuse at all...

Stupid will always find a way to be more stupid..

Also, I'd love a breakdown of the figures showing who actually 100% died of this virus and who had these infamous underlying issues. I wonder just how many died of natural causes ie heart attacks and the Coronavirus was just tacked on.

    ________

I hadn't heard it being confirmed as pandemic, but it's apparently out on the world stage. The role played by the media appears to be more to keep their audience glued in fear and uncertainty than in the efforts being made to make certain it's curtailed, putting societal awareness and support behind the scientists trying to get ahead of this, and with them the medical field.

Nevermind the argument as to whether this is a natural occurrence or one man-made in a lab— which the media likewise seems to be downplaying or ignoring in lieu of fear-mongering to keep an audience, fueling panic which breeds the exact behaviour you describe as the citizenry freaks out with every sneeze and cough.

There are, of course, the conspiratory sides out there, too. Population control measure... financial form of biowarfare as businesses face shut-downs... financial market impacts... I even heard this week that the rush to get infected US citizens back into the USA is part of a plot by people bent on "bringing down Donald Trump" since they couldn't get him with the impeachment or the Russian election-gate or otherwise gone.

The question should be whether this is of natural or artificial origin. Did someone cook this up in a lab and if so, then the debate should be on biowarfare as a thing allowed in any form.

The debate should never be in how to respond to people who may have contracted the virus: they are someone's son or daughter, wife or husband, grandparent... they are someone, and for that simple reason they need our help and support, not ostracization. Sure, both will want to take every step necessary to spread the contagion, but exclusion? Come on!

Still, I've lived long enough to see and hear examples of base human nature, so there's that, of course. And with the media strumming the strings of emotional thinking rather than the rational thinking... well, it doesn't appear to bode well at this point.

I certainly can, if you think that "General Chat" doesn't fit. ;)

    {Moving topic there after I finish posting}

Here in the States, it seems to be taking on the same doomsday approach. And maybe this is how the planet will be turned over to the Apes, for better or worse.

My thoughts are along the lines of a somewhat fatalistic/resignation stance: let's say that I hoard food and supplies for my family and maybe relatives and then friends, in that order... well, anyone who comes along with a gun will be able to take it-- so all I accomplished was a dry dock for someone else's stuff until they came along and took it.

And, of course, I could own a firearm so I can "defend" my family until enough other guys with guns came and finished me off, and did who knows what to my wife out of spite or for me to be forced to watch before I'm off'd.

Again, I was just dry dock for them and was killed in the process.

Society, for all its veneer of being civilized is civilized through the availability of employment to earn funds to exchange for food, shelter, and a few other perks and privileges in accord with taxation and living expenses, civilized through an entertainment industry, and civilized through laws and statutes, enforceable or otherwise.

    But beneath that veneer...?

Well, like George Carlin observed, "We're barely out of the jungle, folks."

My only worry is the mother in law who is pretty ill at the moment and she has preexisting conditions while I've had a flu for months now with cough etc but no breathing issues, I do have a mild heart issue (irregular) but if I got it / have it I'm not worried..

Have you seen this site? Pretty decent reference site:

    https://coronavirus-realtime.com/

Businesses are continuing to close or restrict operations hereabouts.

Same with hospitals and nursing homes.

In the case of the nursing homes, I am especially concerned because we're talking about the people living there, the elderly— some of whom confuse easily or already have anxieties being in their nursing home. That means no family until this strange new curfew and curbing of movement is lifted. Just them and an overworked, under-staffed group of employees in an industry that has demonstrated serious problems of abuse and neglect.

I may have misunderstood the newly imposed restrictions, but if so it's because the information being provided by the media hasn't been clear enough.

And I get it, because the elderly will be the most vulnerable to COVID-19. Them and peeps like me who are dealing with the health issues that require a prescription to get the pharmaceuticals needed to extend our shortened life (although not necessarily the quality of that life, I might add). Having the grandkids come in, or the parents who have been around their children after a day at school where the children mixed snot and germs with a roomful of other kids... not necessarily a good idea, I guess. Still, that leaves the workers who have contact with their own family and the individuals they've interacted with the rest of the day.

Actually the home situation has just arisen here, my old friend Bob who has dementia is in a home and the home has now declared it a no visit zone unless its a total emergency. I have not been to see him in a while because he forgot who I was despite me and my wife being his only near family for years now, also when he saw me last time he was looking at me as if I was going to harm him so I decided to stop seeing him as it was hard enough on him being there. Fortunately I found some of his family who see him but Bob likes people to be around him as much as possible and with this no visitors thing I fear Bob will go down hill very fast as he's already suffering sepsis and his liver is dying and untreatable so basically not being treated and waiting to die, the lost of contact for him will affect him. I can't say I blame the home as they MUST keep these at risk folks safe but there is a bad knock on affect of that.

As for the site, its new to me but loads of decent info..

We have to sort out this bulk buying issue with hoarders, the supermarkets around here are out of so much, just basic stuff like fruit and veg, toilet rolls, Pasta etc etc, people are still attempting to grab as much as they can even though there's no need to. Its annoying because the times I've seen elderly people have to leave with one item out of a list they need simply because people are grabbling 2 or 3 trays of beans for themselves that they probably won't use in months. Gave a couple a good grilling in the supermarket because they had trays and trays of stuff, they were so arrogant as well, "I don't care about anyone else, I'll take as much as I like" was what he said which was his biggest mistake as others were listening to our argument and they turned on him. I just went over to the manager and explained what was going on and he and another worker went over and removed half his trolley much to the pleasure of the now crowd around him.

What gets me is that Coronavirus is currently named as the killer but even with the poor little boy you are seeing tacked on after "but had underlying causes".

As shown in that video, Coronavirus is for all genetic purposes an Exosome as apparently confirmed by leading medical sources, I have to say apparently as I do not know apart from cross checking they are real and there's other confirmations of the words attributed to them are out there. But it would seem this coronavirus is going to be found in most folk as its a natural reactionary event done by the body in very ordinary cases.

Name me a person who isn't stressed.....That's a simple cause..

What I do find more worrying is that IF the above is true then as its a known item, this exosome that matched Coronavirus identically, then how come one or many of the major scientific research facilities not gone on record and said "this is a defence mechanism of the body and its not the thing that would be killing these people"

I've watched many of the video's out there, I say watched, I've sampled them until they become just conspiracy with zero science and then it gets turned off. One I almost enjoyed was David Ickes one which actually referenced the video I posted, its also references 5G of which I'll post a ministers meeting video after, its actually a good watch. Icke is making claims that he has made for 30 years re this glocal alternative government being in control and this virus thing is just an extended way to start a major mind and person control agenda. Now this isn't as mad as it sounds.. We do know that control of the population is something those especially the military would love to have. We also know that throughout history they have been groups formed to exert non replying control, complete obedience if you like, just look at the Knights Templars, The Masons, The Illuminati etc the thing is,, how much actual power do they really have, enough to control governments?

Do I believe Icke is right, not really, he's probably on the right path but his theories swing so far about the place they make him unreliable which is exactly what a cabal would want.

What I do worry about is 5G, there ARE reports that prove dna damage, mental health effects, effects on animals and insects that could be very dangerous to the world and lets remember that the electronics behind 5G is already used as a crowd dispersal weapon and had been for YEARS. It was initially weaponised for the military as a weapon to disperse soldiers by making the skin feel like its on fire if you are in the path of the beam. The problem for them was that the item was too big and an easy target for RPG's etc so it was used for crowd dispersal. But what is extraordinary is the speed and timing of this roll out, there are engineers out there fitting these things right at the moment...Come on, during a pandemic??

But then again if you want unopposed spread of stuff then put them up while people are quarantined to houses. Just the other day in Birmingham etc people were fire bombing the masts and giving the engineers a hard time and yet these are going up without any thought re the concerns of very very clever people.

Here's a ministers meeting from Westminster that was televised, just listen to the fear and how most of them are at odds with government about the roll out, these are experts.

    And the dispersal system

Just to be clear about a possible global secret government or whatever, the secret societies @Paul "Mclaneinc" Irvine references are ALL still in existence (Knights Templars, The Masons, The Illuminati, etc) as active secret societies, but no, the Knights Templar don't dress as Knights anymore (except maybe in secret ceremonial rituals) but the society still exists.
