    The one and only...

    Kingston upon 'Ull, Allan.

    (Hull!)

Mind, we've come home tonight to a dust storm as half the old kitchen walls have been knocked down today...

    upload_2020-8-17_18-30-25.png

You might have to fetch some overalls, a dustpan and breathing apparatus, buddy(!)

I Believe Andy Wilman the producer for Topgear when the three amigoes were on has been said to have had corvid twice. it was the excuse for the late production of the Grand Tour Season 4

I'm sure Bev will confirm one way or another.

Just asked the wonder of the Cave System and her medical missive for you is:

"No one knows for sure but it might well be that COVID never actually goes away... it just lurks in the background and might possibly rear its ugly head again from time to time..."

So there you have it and as regards the queries about the stability/shape or nature of the bit of rock we call home / real estate, it's just the norm, lads...

    upload_2020-8-17_19-50-5.png

At least we bought it off Norm.

    Hmm well Andy missed out
1 The delights of standing in the rain ouside the Deep aquarium

2 The delights of queing in the rain ouside the Ferens Art Gallery

3 The delights of walking in the rain along the marina, and tripping over the painter attached to Fast eddie's narrow boat.

4 The delights of sliding down the cables on the Humber bridge, into the rain clouds below..

5 Having a corony whilst eating Fish and Chips outside Bob Carvers oh did I mention in the rain..

Well I know Andy mentions the rain a lot, so I'm guessing it's Wet,Wet,Wet. Not my favorite music but hey what do I know, I'm just dodgy southerner down 'tint smoke..

Barking wasn't the problem, my own dogs bark a lot, that's just something you get used to in the country where everyone has multiple dogs most times. The fact that she lets 2 vicious dogs that attack other people and their dogs run wild, that's the continuing issue with my neighbor. But they stay away from my property mostly, since I shot the 3rd vicious dog (which didn't cause the neighbor to keep their other dogs contained), but if they come on my property again, I'll shoot them dead. I've told the neighbor countless times I would and then I proved it with one dog. But the neighbor is a whacked-out meth-head who doesn't give a shit about anything, apparently, except that next drug fix.

The dog thing is a pisser, the animal lover in me does not want to see the dog's harmed just because of the shit headed owner BUT the dog itself is a dangerous weapon...

    To Quote Dirty Harry

The Mayor: Callahan... I don't want any more trouble like you had last year in the Fillmore district. You understand? That's my policy.

Harry Callahan: Yeah, well, when an adult male is chasing a female with intent to commit rape, I shoot the bastard - that's my policy.

The Mayor: Intent? How'd you establish that?

Harry Callahan: When a naked man is chasing a woman through a dark alley with a butcher knife and a hard on, I figure he isn't out collecting for the Red Cross.

    [leaves]

The Mayor: I think he's got a point.

So, in the dogs case, I'd shoot the bastard..

With my neighbours there looks like a development has happened, the little girl who was being told to jump up and down was also hurting the baby to get attention (yeah, great parents) and I made it clear I'm not going to listen to a baby being hurt because of their shit parenting, suddenly the other day the girl is moved to her grand parents and has been there ever since..

The baby that I'm ultra sure is autistic makes one hell of a racket and cries constantly but you could hear the girl go in to the bedroom, do something, run out and the baby would scream like it was in pain.

At the moment its just the mother and the baby and 1000% quieter....

I think the parents are now working out that the baby is not quite right (its just like my nephew was, no talking, all crying, always in distress and makes a huge high pitched noise all the time)

Between the lot of them there's a load of weird going on...

How "banned" is the handgun in the U.K.? Can you still be licensed or permit to carry, even if it costs an exorbitant amount, for certain "security" professions, on private estates, etc.? Or is it now literally banned unless you are a special police for like our SWAT and military? Essentially government only is what I'm getting at I suppose?

    Hi Matt
It's a complete ban, only Military / Police and Criminals.
We can own a 'long' barrelled pistol or revolver, barrel lenght must exceed 12" and the total length minimum is 24" so you have what looks like a balance weight hanging out the back.
Also any fullbore has to be manual, ie bolt, underlever, straight pull, no semi Automatic arms except in 22LR
    Restriction on shotguns as well.

Edit: Quieter...I don't hold out much hope tho...

Yep, Paul's nailed it there, Al.

    LOL!

Yeah, Top 5 would be stretching it a tad, mate.

    I'll give it a go:

    1) The Deep aquarium - think it's back open again despite COVID... upload_2020-8-25_22-49-51.jpeg

    2) Ferens Art Gallery - pile in looking all arty farty and lend your visage a distant look and also say hello to my mate Sheila in there (she'll probably ban you if you mention my name!!) upload_2020-8-25_22-51-20.jpeg

    3) Walk along the Marina (my mate Fast Eddie has a narrowboat moored up there not far from the old Spurn lightship... [IMG]

    4) Have a walk along Hessle foreskin, I mean foreshore, and get lost in the Humber Bridge clouds of uncertainty (used to be the longest single span suspension bridge in the world when completed in the early 80s)...

    5) Get some lard down yer neck, fella - pile in to a Bob Carver's fish n chip emporium (and shortly afterwards, when suffering from the coronary, wish you hadn't)...

Good luck, Al - enjoy yer hols and here's to next time you're down this way, mate - you can cut the ribbon when we unveil the new joint.
