Well, if you have to sell your gear, I'll just have to redouble my efforts to get you the 1200XL for Christmas! Can't have you relying on emulators!

Hello Paul, I just read your post here, the least I could do is to go to GoFunMe and leave a small contribution. I wish I could do more with cash, mate if only I lived in the UK. (David)

This world is often unfair, to say the least. All our living system and lifestyle seem to be governed by chaos instead of our rationality. We even seem to prefer capitalistic chaos instead of distributed means and tranquillity. I'm sorry for your contingent situation and I hope you will get rid of it soon. All the best from the heart.

Guys. I'm stunned, I woke up and looked at the gofundme and it's been 75% filled...I'm truly at a loss for any words, 1 day???

One day and the guys at AA have also chipped in a lot, unless I fail the MOT which will mean all monies returned (not getting into the spiral of constant car bills costing more than its worth) I'll hopefully be good for another year and it gives us a year to save up rather than the weeks I have at present.

Alas my neighbours are still the bastards I hate, they left in the morning after the child was simply pounding the ceiling constantly and then returned at 11pm and within 2 steps in the child went ballistic, smashing the floor as hard as it could. I shouted up a few times and it seems they left again, not sure, it's been quiet since though.

What a weird mix of stuff but thank you all, it really really means something to this old boy..

Richie, I can't thank you enough, I'd never had gone down the route of the gofundme without your advice, I'm not the sort of person who asks people for stuff, I always like to just offer help and have a little smile from that..

    As you say, amazing stuff...

Indeed, I must admit I'd never have thought of the turn out I got and MOT willing its going to a very good cause. I'll be posting the receipts of the tax and insurance when I get them in Jan so people see its gone to that and not daftness. I know people trust me but its the least I can do

You don't need to Paul, I can only guess at how you felt about the video updates you’ve added (something I believe you would find very difficult to do.), all I'll say is well done, many have known you far longer than I online, It just shows you how you are thought of.;)

Let’s hope the car does it’s bit and gets through the MOT. :)

Thanks Graham, I hated doing the video updates and I think the video shows just how uneasy I felt but at the same time I wanted to to hear my truly meant thanks. I have no idea how the car will go, I've been looking after it and I think I just need to de yellow the headlights a little. Thankfully there a little extra to allow for unexpected things but not if they are big..

And apologies for not being on here, nothing to do with people I just incredibly down when I found out through a fight with upstairs that she had taken pleasure from hearing me when I was very upset and down talking about how I felt about life because the windows were open then scream "go suicide yourself" numerous times from her balcony.

Utterly destroyed me for a few days..Darn near made me think about doing it..Callous bitch..

Apart from that we had a stabbing / slashing about 50ft from my door (lovely area) which meant we got a visit from

Sorry to hear this news mate. Is there any other way other than selling your kit? Have you thought of a GoFundMe?

Thank you so much David, the fact you even bothered to look is great and the donation is wonderful.

If you have facebook you could also post the gofundme link but only if you are comfortable with that

I am just pleased we were able to come up with a solution that didn’t involve drastic action. It also reaffirms my belief that there are more good people in the world than we sometimes think.

Fucking amazing mate. I suspect the large donor may have been the guy that posted just after me on AA. Good bloke! Anyway, I sent all I had left in my Paypal account to your Paypal, not much, it was all I had left in the account. I'll send a bit more via the go fund me account with my CC.

    Hi Paul
Is there nothing to be done about changing were you live at all? I'm sure you may have tried but wondering, it's clearly having an effect on you and your family.
Have you tried through the medical profession in trying to get another place?
I appreciate you may not want to answer on here, All's I'll say is You & your family deserve better than you have at the moment.
For now I hope your car goes through its MOT. Headlight plastics do yellow with age but there are solutions, usually involving some kind of polishing, chrome polish has been used but I’m sure any fine polishing medium would help.

I wish You and Family all the best

P.S I ended up sending the link to Pam as I refuse to have a faceache page.
