Hmm I'm sure with a 6502 at it's beating heart It would be concidered so.
Although the Cumana interface uses the power of the 6502 within the Oric or Atmos, running an additional ROM withing the interface, the Gotek is by comparison much more powerful ARM based chip, just a powerful Microcontroller with CPU,RAM,FlashROM ports etc all included on something about the size of a small fingernail..
The good think is it allows us to use our older goodieswithout the requirments of knackered and worn out mechanics.

LOL, Paul!
Graham, thanks for unearthing clips of the Oric Gotek type USB drive solution.
I do have something here that I must dig out as I do have an Erebus and something else "solid state" for the Oric, somewhere!
We've both got some time off this week to celebrate Bev's birthday so I'll try and do a video clip of some Oric stuff still boxed that I've never really ever properly "played with" before...ooOer! -

I suspected that BARR in the pic was to deal with the heggy hog.....Quick bop on the head, baked in clay and the Union rep is gone for Mr Barr to carry on his animal torture. Every time we see an animal in Andy's pics then the next day there's also a picture with freshly made sarnies...
I'm on to you Mr Barr......Mustard on mine though... -

Mine get a wash when I use the bog.

Wow you can really see some progress now, It's amazing that it's appearance gets so much worse before they get better. It also looks so much brighter as the new plaster board reflects the light so much better than the original wall/ brick. ( And just maybe you have some new lights. ?

Yes, the new lights aren't installed yet, Graham, but Bev has been busy on that BUY IT NOW button - more to be revealed this week! Certainly, as you say, it's looking cleaner and brighter now the old brickwork is covered up. Coming on in leaps and bounds...thank god, as we go into week TEN this week(!)

Well Rome wasn't built in a day!
And after having to go round and re do all Mum's CCTV camera's (All 'RING' products) I've got fed up of hearing that line.. especially for a condisending female american ( Sorry Matt it's just what she sounds like on setup
I guess now you have a PC working it's nice to go shopping for nice items for your extension.
Hope you sorted out what kind of lights you wanted prior to sparks putting in anything.
In my old home, I'd added hidden lighting under the units that glowed on the floors, others shining up on the ceiling, these were RGB LED strips so you change the colour nice for party's (Though nearly always set to a creamy yellowish Glow.
It did look nice but we did have 20 odd LED spotlamps you could aim at different work surfaces , table etc. (they were originally 50W halogens' you could watch the meter going up)

LOL!
I can well imagine, buddy.
Sparky has only so far put in new wiring and so all the light units are still in their boxes as the ceiling is still being boarded up etc.
The old kitchen sounded quite a beaut in terms of illuminations and I can see in my minds' eye now, those meter dials flying around like there's no tomorrow, Graham!

Good to see the progress and a happy birthday to Bev (belated), but I have to ask, is that cat labourer now being paid at the proper EU rate.
I'll write to your MP if he's not!Andy Barr likes this. -

Yes loads, just got to move the 'Side' of the house towards the brick wall, and get rid of the plants pots, etc. etc.
Hehe typical, go to take a picture and they turn there attention from 'Page 6' to the camera...Mind you I'd not seen puss online recently, Could 'Eeow' be posing as you Andy; with some of your posts it could be
