Hmm, so are you saying at the end you have a 'special project' in mind for this particular C64 Andy?

Or are you just a hopeless retro addict like the rest of us and can't resist having some genuine 80's plastic in your life?

Right - I'll give the old CRT a go although it's all stashed away in the loft as the staircase up there is about to be replaced and my old den has been reduced to... dust!
I will give those top tips a whirl as soon as I get the chance, Daz, and report back on here.
These are the kind of blurred images I'm getting via LCD/SCART -

I'm sure we can improve on this picture quality - do they do a Sophia2 for the breadbin, Paul??!!

    Hi, Paul.
    Thanks again, mate.
Sorry, forgot to mention the VIC bits.
No, I don't own a VIC-20 - bought one - tried it - sold one about 3 years back - no love for it - Shaun threw them in together with some Speccy bits and bobs.
If anyone here has a VIC and wants the software - just holler - you're first in the queue, buddy.

Well, I'll put it to vote, what do you reckon, guys - should I or shouldn't I plump for one of these then??

    Great price, really.

I mean, compared to an Oric Scart lead, it's a bloody steal(!)

I don't know much about the C64, but did you go for it Andy?

I'm not saying I'm a tape head system addict, Paul, but...

    upload_2020-12-30_11-50-47.png

I often feel I'm getting like this(!)

Baz tries to load Word for Windoze on his cranium-implanted PC-Oric emulator.

Fast Eddie got us a little wildlife camera so if we get any decent close-ups of our pals outside I will beam them up on here.

For now, Bev and Zorro tucked up in bed top side and me running around like a... metal oxide iriot(!)

Cheers for your greets, Paul and naturally all the very best to you, Cindy and Serena and... Felix?

It's got to get better sometime soon...shurely?!

PS. I aim to catch up with Graham for a natter on the blower either tonight/tomorrow night so how are we all looking for a video chat this weekend?

Can someone suggest a day/time and then we can check on our availabilities?

ABOVE: Sat at his Oric workstation, Baz is ready with his apparatus all set-up to take your video call...

So, what about either New Year's Day (Friday) or Sunday 3rd, fellas?

It would be great to get 4-5 or even more together if we could but if it's just 2-3 of us then so be it.

Clearly, we don't want to interfere with one another's important family time so, avoiding Al's Old Firm match too - which is literally life or death for those not in the picture in this clash of the Scottish footballing titans coming together -

    I'll suggest:

Sunday 3rd Jan 2021 at 2pm UK time.

It's nothing more than a suggestion, folks, so by all means, if that doesn't work for you then just holler and we'll look at changing it to another day/time. It would be great to also have Matt and Tim with us and I realise this could mean a damn early start time for you in the States (8am?) so we could easily push it back by an hour or two if you did fancy joining in guys?

In the recent past, me, Paul, Al, Richie and Manu have managed a Sunday at this kind of time slot for an hour etc. so it's nothing more than a starting point and up for discussion/amendment as folks see fit.

Anyone though, up for the above - provisionally - say AYE!

PS. I've now created a new thread for this ATARI OWNER NEW YEAR/NEW START VIDEO LINK so that it doesn't get lost in this thread as it would be a shame if someone else interested missed it etc.
