How about a picture of the VTech Laser 500? Here in the states the only 'VTECH' that I recall were little kid computers and stuff. But what I am seeing in these images is an 80 column screen for a serious computer!

Nice haul Andy. Gadgets and a few supplies for the forthcoming BazBar

p.s. just noticed that the wee thing I was sending down to you has been delayed in the post, looks like it has been with Royal Mail since the 16th December! Will keep an eye on the tracking...Andy Barr likes this. -

Matt, no rush, do it when it's easiest please..
I had a look at where you are on Google and it seems pretty far from town so please take it easy...
Have to say I like the privacy, had a look at Bob Wooleys house and again, he's in a lot of free space...M.D.Baker likes this. -

Bloody marvelous! I found the tea @Andy Barr sent me! Apparently I did, absent minded, take it out of the package and I placed it in a little drawer under my 3D printer! I just went to print something today, first time using the printer in months, and there is the tea bag pouch, starring back at me!
So I'm going to have a mug of Twinings English Breakfast tea for my new year's breakfast, about 1 pm your time, 7 am mine.

Bootiful new goodies there, Matt.
Great packaging and contents as we like to see and gratefully appreciate.
We await images of the new refreshed and touched-up Command Center with bated breath, budster.
Hope you guys are steering well clear of those blizzards that we've heard a fair bit about on the news affecting Cape Cod and Boston... could they be heading your way...or our way next?
Let's hope not - it's snow joke.
Ohhhhhh, I'll get me coat, lads and put the kettle on for another brew (Yaarkshire tea of course!)M.D.Baker likes this. -

Superb looking man cave that is now thoroughly looking "the business", Matt - it is starting to resemble a 1970s office (if you ignore the black modern monitor and PC keyboard).
A very classy look indeed, fella.
I'm liking it and it nudges me towards "tidying up" a bit in my colossal heap...M.D.Baker likes this. -

Great plans and 20/10 for overall effect, Matt.
You should be rightly, immensely proud of what you have created here - a real slice of late seventies/early eighties Atari heaven in your own colour scheme take on this period.
A micro masterpiece, I tell thee!
PS. Sorry, I didn;t even notice the 3D printer over on the left... god knows what I thought that was... some eccentric microscope or some such devilish device ;-) Rock on, Matt - it all goes very nicely in there indeed. Again, immense credit for REALISING the dream from thought to fruition.M.D.Baker likes this. -

It all OOZES class, Matt. I love all the original Atari "killer" apps that you are still using too plus the Atarilab hardware. It's all very definitely still in daily use and very definitely still very lurved - you clearly get immense pleasure from your CX and XL Command Center setups and of course the CoCo treats to come.... lucky you, fella!

Well, it's about 50 euros for both the printed books. Not cheap, but a good deal imho.
The PDF files alone are worth it, as they were nicely corrected in detail. Perhaps other print-on-demand services may offer a lower cost. Lulu.com made a good job.M.D.Baker likes this. -

I've not even had a chance to look at the machine or in the bags yet and see what other hardware is installed or if the A1200 actually works. That's a project for this weekend.
Just had another retro item turn up in the post, so will post some pictures over the next couple of days.Andy Barr likes this. -

Yes, nice problem indeed...
The WHDLoad stuff is a dream once you have workbench on the HD and the latest version of WHDLoad is free and just unpacks into the C and Startup dirs.
I'm happy it's a keeper Al, as I always say, I love seeing a machine get used, usually people who say that it's a keeper or the like use those machines, maybe not every day or week or month, but they still get played with and are not just ornaments gathering dust (grrr).
But should the love affair end, then I'm here to be the knight in shining armour and rescue the good old 1200
Have fun Al, there's plenty to enjoy there...nysavant likes this. -

I remember finding out that Jay Miner was connected to the Atari chip set after I had my Amiga, I had a notion that he may have been when I saw the Amiga had Copper Lists and thought "that sounds very like our Display List" on the old Atari. Its such a weird story of how a group of CBM workers left to move to Atari and then made their own company later that Amiga / Commodore brought out, bringing it full circle, and there we had the Amiga 1000.
Such a smart set of fellows, both Atari 8bit and Amiga, years ahead of their time, mostly down to the clever use of custom processors sharing the load.M.D.Baker likes this. -

Hi Matt, yes got the 32 in 1 a while back, I'm pretty sure I left a message to say it had arrived. Not fitted it yet, been having hand problems, so not soldered anything for a while.
Will post when it's installed, thank you again.. No Rev C chip but no worries with that, see if someone else needs it..

Hi Matt, am using a good old Atari 9VAC supply, chunky and reliable (I hope)
As for your machine, I know how technically proficient you are, was purely a joke re the PSU, I know you would have taken all that in to consideration, come on, it's The Mighty Modder, you know your stuff...M.D.Baker likes this. -
